pabletesoy Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 Hello, I have reinstalled windows. I have DCS on another hard disk. I have tried to launch DCS with DCS.exe but I get a popup window saying that the application does not load correctly. Is there any solution for this? Thanks
sleighzy Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 Can you provide a screenshot of this message. Can you provide your DCS log file (will be "C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS\Logs\dcs.log" or just a text document name "dcs" if your Windows in hiding file extensions). Did DCS used to work fine? What version of Windows? AMD 7800x3D, 4080Super, 64Gb DDR5 RAM, 4Tb NVMe M.2, Quest 2

pabletesoy Posted October 20, 2024 Author Posted October 20, 2024 Ok, thank all very much. Now it works! I have a doubt, why doesn't the aluncher, or the repair and that kind of DCS executables appear in the windows start menu?

When you install DCS using its web installer, it will automatically install the runtimes also. But in this case you didnt install DCS but merely copied it from another windows .. but I agree that it would be nice if the repair tool detected them missing and offer to install them. 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

Well, it actually does, but doesn't work it seems. When running the repair/updater, you have a checkbox for shortcuts. Perhaps it only populates the Start Menu and not the Desktop. That might be why I don't see them. I seldom use the Start Menu. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
