VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 (edited) I am using a Moza AB9 and due to some arrangement, I am swapping the X with Y axis. I have done the followings: Assign Pitch to X-axis, inverted Assign Roll to Y-axis In "FFB Tune", check both "Swap Axis" and "Invert X" The problem is, the trim is still reversed, "Up" on the control indicator actually pitches up, rather than the usual down. "Down" on control indicator, in the same logic, pitches the plane down. I tried all 4 combinations in "FFB Tune" but the results are the same. So, when the plane starts in flight, the plane automatically goes up due to the trim issue. The same thing happens only to both F-14 and F-4E. I have tested AJS-37, F/A-18C and they have no such problem with trim, both trim up and down behave normally as expected. Edited October 27, 2024 by VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants I Fly, Therefore I Am. Test with a hot started plane on the ground until trim works correctly with your physical stick. And check the trim indicator in the Controls Indicator. That should move in the direction of the trim hat no matter the swapping. (I could remember incorrectly with the hat as Heatblur have the option for FFB trimming in the special settings). Make sure the trim hat is bound correctly. When set correctly, the plane "should" pitch down in air starts. That's like most of us have reported before. I wish air starts would start with a correctly trimmed airplane. Mind you, it was way worse before. Now it's easily overcome, while before you were pointing almost stwaight down. VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants Posted October 27, 2024 Author Posted October 27, 2024 (edited) Turning on/off FFB trimming on F-14 has no effect on the problem. I am going to try the "Invert Y" under "FFB Tune" setting. Edited October 27, 2024 by VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants 1 I Fly, Therefore I Am. VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants Posted October 28, 2024 Author Posted October 28, 2024 Update: the problem still persists when "Invert-Y" has been checked. I Fly, Therefore I Am. RustBelt Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 (edited) So you have Double inverted your pitch axis. Negative times a negative equals? Try NOT inverting the FFB on X (Pitch) just because the input is backwards doesn’t mean the FFB direction is. Also to eliminate other ambiguity. Verify The Up direction on your trim hat is bound to Nose (Pitch) trim DOWN. Edited October 29, 2024 by RustBelt 1
