broxis11
Evening all :) I installed my game last night and it detected my Saitek 3D Rumble Force and the controls worked perfectly. However, when I went to play today the collective/throttle wasn`t working. I have tried in the controls section to designate the throttle function but nothing happens but if I were to press a button on the joystick it instantly recognises it. I have reinstalled the joystick software and updated the drivers and rebooted the computer but still the same.. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be? I`m stumped :joystick: I`ve enjoyed the game so far and look forward to the challenges which lie ahead  Any help would be appreciated. Cheers
VMFA117_Poko
With my Saitek x52 I found out that not every button is recognized by the game BUT when I keep "Saitek X52 Flight Controller Properties" window opened (that one with button and axis check) everything is all right. Since then I play only with that window opened in the background. Try this with your Saitek test window. Maybe it will help you as well.
nemises
Hi Broxis, The problem is you are not going to the "axis commands" section of the controls setup. It is the item highlighted in green on the drop-down selections when you go to controls. In there you should select the "Collective" control (NOT throttle), and then move the X52 throttle axis to asign it. If the control assignment accepts button presses, then it is NOT the axis contrl section, but some other section :)

Throttle is something you won't touch too many times during a flight (if not twice - first at startup, then after landing). StewJW
I use a Saitek X52 Pro in windows and Vista 64. New drivers were released quite recently and now I have no problems. I'm still playing around to optimise my configuration, it takes a while to get setup. My TrackIR 4 Pro also works well.

dnnzed
Hi there, I have a Cyborg Evo stick and want to programme it with some keystrokes. Is anyone experienced that a keystroke - for example Resetting the trim with Ctrl+T - is not working if it puts to a button on the stick?
CyBerkut
dnnzed, are you using Saitek's SST software to assign the keystroke(s) to the button? If so, which version of SST? Have you checked the DCS:BS Options screen for the controllers to see if you have any conflicts? dnnzed
Yes. The latest. And everything setup properly. I have checked back and forth everything many times... I'm discussing it on saitek's forum. Something weird... Maybe I should reinstall the drivers... :noexpression: Maybe it's the "usual" windows thing, uninstall/reinstall you know... CyBerkut
Yes, I'd start with a driver update/reinstall, as that is fairly painless. If that doesn't nail it, then uninstall/reinstall the SST software. Before moving on to anything more drastic (ie. DCS:BS or Windows reinstall), I'd recommend that you go into "question the paradigm" mode... as in the assumptions/conclusions that everything is setup properly. Feel free to post screen captures of anything relevant (ie. the DCS Options screen(s) showing the controller setups). The above is not intended as slam upon you. Many of us have had a problem at some time or another that we were staring at, yet could not see/recognize. A fresh pair of eyes can sometimes spot things... Good luck!
