pilotpeters
Help. I have several DCS problems. I bought the retail version of DCS off amazon.com. After installing it, i noticed that the main loading screen was white w/ links instead of the heli background its supposed to have. This also occurred with the logbook when I tried to load another pilot image. I don't think my DCS install is working properly. I also don't understand why the app doesn't load in full screen mode, it shows the desktop, then goes fullscreen and loads a flight. My sys Spcs are: CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ RAM: 4 GB DDR2 VIDEOCARD: ATI Radeon X1950 Pro Please tell me what the problem is. Could it be video drivers? Merci Pilotpeters
Kuro6
Well, first off, Radeons are infamous for driver problems. Maybe someone with a card like that can help you with drivers. I would try to reinstall, and see if it happens again. Your definitely missing pics. But yeah, it looks like driver problems. As for going back to desktop before it starts, thats normal. Just how they did it.

slug88
No. But have you tried Distiler's suggestion? I think this is a well known problem related to CatAI. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
EtherealN
Yes, it's well known especially for the X1950 in my experience from the Problems and Bugs section, which has scores of threads about this issue. If disabling Cat AI is not sufficient, rollback to version 8.12 of the ATI driver suite - and keep cat AI off. Then I can (almost) guarantee that it will work.
