Hi all,

There are a couple of posts on this but so far I have found that the frame rate drops to around 2 FPS on both these aircraft as soon as the game is un-paused.

All maps are affected, even a blanc map so not related to unit density.  

Interestingly these are my only two aircraft that have radar, so don't know if that's the issue? 

Other complex models such as the av8b, are fine.....

Audio has gone funny too!

Empty your FXO and metashaders, the start working on your settings, which would appear to be too ambitious

Settings are not too ambitious......I've had this setup for over a year, runs very well high end pc FPS dropped from a very smooth 60 odd in vr, to a complete mess overnight....

I'll try the shaders though, thanks

We are aware of an issue with the F-5E since the last update and FPS, the time will have a fix in the next patch

Ok, looks like a vr problem, 

Meta has also dropped an update, 

I'll work back and try to find the problem.

Interestingly memory usage jumps to 96% when I switch to these aircraft....64gb system

It looks to be ai trigger zones in the mission, as soon as you delete them it's all relatively smooth again.....

my f-5 is bugged to unplayability. 2-5fps on a completely blank mission. apparently a known bug.

@BIGNEWY i'm really disappointed that there hasn't been a hotfix. the f-5 remaster is a brand new module. i bought it for christmas and could not fly it since. it's literally unplayable for me with low single digit fps. if no solution is found, then revert back the changes from the last patch.

I'm sorry you are disappointed. 

But the team had a New years break, when they returned they got straight back to work and worked on fixes, those fixes need to be tested. Its not going to be a hot fix as a hot fix implies the fix happened quickly, this isn't the case. 

As soon as QA give me the all clear and the next patch has been tested I will be able to give you all a date.

Is there a known workaround? Does the issue also occur for clients in MP?
If i let my buddy host a session on a dedicated server (which might be strong enough to just stomach the overhead created by the bug), is there a chance that client f-5s will be unaffected?

uninstall the old F-5E module.   Seemed to fix my issue with F-5E remaster.     Someone on reddit said they only have the old F-5E module and their FPS is tanking in it.

today's patch is noted in another thread that it was fixed. but nothing in the changelog.
