Pillowcat Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 (edited) Spoiler As in title: changing vehicles sometimes cause such things (compare clouds in IR image and 'real objects' they clip off on background) : Mission file with all necessary to replicate problem in place: CloudsDrawnOverObjects_AH64.miz Steps to do in that mission to reproduce (set#1:PNVS / set#2:TADS): 1) After mission starts: Choose A-10C Turn its TGP ON and switch its mode to WHOT Choose AH-64 Enable PNVS on pilots IHADSS, observe the bug Ir_Bug_Faster2.mp4 2) After mission starts: Choose F-16 Turn its TGP ON and switch its mode to WHOT Choose AH-64 Switch to CPG seat (pilot's NVS is fine for now) Enable TADS, observe the bug IrBugAH64 2-2.mp4 It seems like clouds overlay stencil calculated with some offset to position of sensors camera. RUBIX Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I did some testing to see how far this goes. I tested with the old weather system and the problem does not seem to appear. Using the new cloud presets seems to be required. I also found that if you start the mission in the Apache, then the problem does not appear. Further testing confirms the A-10 TGP will cause the Apache PNVS to have the error. I also found that the OH-58 will cause the Apache TADS to have the error instead. When the TADS has the clouds on top, it will occur in FLIR and TV. Other modules seem to also cause the Apache Image Systems to have the clouds on top. I did not extensively go through every module or create track logs for those, as I believe the provided ones should be enough to start. The track logs for the three scenarios are attached.
