I am using the override in the Nvidia app for the preset and manually selecting the preset what I want, which is M. I allow the DLSS mode to be selected within DCS.

PC Hardware: i9-12900k, RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 64GB DDR5 4400MHz, NVME.2 Drives, Alienware 38" 3840x1600 144MHz Monitor, TrackIR Pro Clip, Pimax Crystal OG, PimaxXR and Quadviews

Flight Controls: Winwing Orion 2 F-16 Stick and Orion 1Throttle HOTAS / Logitech Rudder Pedals

DCS Modules: Too many to list after the 15 year sale

Has someone with Oculus 3 and/or Pimax Crystal Light (PCL)been tweaking the NVIDA DCS settings as in this video? I tried exactly as in this video with my PCL but it ruins all the fps, getting unstable fps. Normally I keep all default in the NVIDA app and have no issues with both my PCL or Quest 3 at max resolution and 90/120fps.

I haven’t watched the video yet. However, if you have max resolution and 90/120 and no issues then do you need to change anything? If it ain’t broke then don’t fix it 🤷

310.5.3 contains:

- Added CUDA application support to DLSS Ray Reconstruction
- Bug Fixes & Stability Improvements

You are unlikely to see any performance improvements with this build, just improvements to reliability. If you haven't noticed any problems with the previous build, you're unlikely to notice the changes with this one.

I just got a new build and i'm all new with DLSS.

I downloaded DLSS Swapper and added DCS to it as well.

I have a good setup:
RTX5080
9800X3D
64 GB DDR5
Meta Quest 3

What is the correct way to setup this to counter ghosting and tearing ?

The easiest way is to use the NVIDIA app to set DLSS to "use latest version". This then sets performance to preset M. I have the same PC specs as you and this works well for me. No ghosting.

Thanks Qcumber, ill give it a try!

And then I can use autoexec to change the versions ? I dont see the autoexec, and what lines do i need to make to get it to work, are there more tweaks to add ?

The default is (IIRC) Quality K, Balanced J and Performance M. This is because M has a bit of a performance hit, but not very much.

If you want to set preset M for all then you can use the "custom" override. However, I can't really see any difference between quality and performance in terms of image quality but FPS is better with performance (as you might expect).

You can also use NVIDIA Profile Inspector (NVPI) which gives you more control but it's not really needed.

The autoexec settings are only really necessary if you want to exclude the cockpit multifunctional displays. I don't bother as I only really fly WW2 and analogue jets.

I do use dynamic foveated rendering (QVFR) though so this might give different results to a full resolution Q3.

I refer the honorable gentleman to a post I made a couple of pages back...

Use DLSS swapper to automagically manage the DLL in DCS, then in DCS:

You don't even need this. Just use the NVIDIA app to set "use latest".

Used the DLSS swapper and set it to latest version and noticed a big improved in reduced tearing ! Thanks guys ! For now i'm satisfied ( before I only look at FPS while sitting down ). I think i can squeeze out more with this setup but for now I just want to start adding kneeboards and start flying ! Lets hope Vulkan does some magic when released !

Quick summary of my settings and setup :

RTX5080
64GB DDR5 6000mhz
9800X3D

Meta Quest 3

Use Meta Link with cable
Oculus as runtime

ODT Settings as attached in image
Meta Link set at 72Hz 1.3 4864x2592  ( Use the same settings for Raceroom and AMS2 and IL2 )
nullVR Hangar mod
DLSS Swapper v310.5.3 Mode M
Autoexec.cfg ->

HUD_MFD_after_DLSS = true

Nvidia control I did not touch... ( Only best performance active )

Did multiple test flights with lots of spinning and turning and looking around, and it maintains a steady 72 FPS.
Only thing I dont like is that it says its CPU Bound ( Main Thread ) on the ingame FPS panel, but I guess thats a DCS problem.

Not if you want the very latest DLL version.

I updated to the latest version of the NVIDIA drivers and it uses the latest version of DLSS.
