Mateo Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Hi, As reported by ED, flight model of FF F15C will be initially based on F15C Flaming Cliffs version, could we have an F15C update of flight model in area of ground effect. As reported HERE data is available. Currently ground effect almost doesn't exist. During flare the ground closure have no impact on lift, drag and pith moment. Other Flaming Cliffs aircraft have it done some way (MiG29, Su27, Su25, Su-25T). IRL every aircraft has got some CL,CD,CM changes below the wingspan height. It would be nice before we receive FF that such an issue would receive sort of update. Cheers 4
Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted Friday at 10:35 AM Posted Friday at 10:35 AM I recently flew Baltic Dragon's Georgian War campaign again, and the lack of ground effect is one of the things that stood out to me as well, as you currently can't land "b y the book". But I'm sure we'll see adjustments when the FF version is closer to release, similar to what happened with MiG-29. 1 Spoiler Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 96GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo DDR5-6000 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 990Pro 4TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero VPC MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with Z-extension | VPC CM3 throttle | VPC CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | VPC R1-Falcon pedals with damper | Pro Flight Trainer Puma OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings Win11 Pro 25H2 - VBS/HAGS/Game Mode ON
