Acronyms and abbreviations…

Hi all.  
 

Okay, cards on the table time….  Although I’ve been in and out of DCS for some years, I’ve only ever been bothered about the actual flying, and haven’t really been at all invested in the war and weapons side of things. Well, that’s changing, and I’m now becoming a lot more interested. Thing is, whenever I try to read anything, or watch a YouTube tutorial I’m instantly met with a huge wall of military acronyms and abbreviations, most of which mean nothing to me. Can anybody point me to a fairly comprehensive list of them?  I do try and work out what some of them mean, but it quickly becomes exhausting when there is just one after another, after another, especially for someone who isn’t particularly war-minded.

Thanks for the tutorial suggestions, but I think you’ve misinterpreted my request. There are many YouTube creators I follow already. What I need is a fairly comprehensive list of terms; BVR, IFF, CASE (l,ll,lll). Fox 1, A-A, A-G, AGM etc. Okay, so I know those few, and a few more. But there are hundreds that I don’t know, and a list would be very handy indeed

Along those lines yes, but much more comprehensive. There are no IFF, BVR,AGM or anything remotely like it on there. It appears to be more of a slang and colloquial list of terms. But thank you anyway

Yes there is.

Look into "Miscelaneous Codewords and Abbreviations" (Meaning / Expand) in that page.

I don't think you can get a list more comprehensive and extended than that one.
