GeoS72 Posted June 19 Posted June 19 After following the tutorial twice, the HVAR rockets & Tiny Tim rockets will not fire. 1
Solution Vakarian Posted June 19 Solution Posted June 19 At least in the Tiny Tim tutorial, they aren't even loaded so that's the issue. As for the HVAR, make sure you have correct controls bound. For some reason there's rocket release and weapon release. I could launch HVARs on the training mission 1
GeoS72 Posted June 20 Author Posted June 20 Thanks for the tip! Not sure why a separate rocket release button needs to be mapped.

There's a seperate button wired just to the rockets. In the cockpit it's the red button in front of the throttle area, in front of the flaps indicator. There is some white lettering that says FFAR.

In the very same tutorial, the Narrator says "the red button on your stick" When the manual and actual function is the FFAR button. Quite silly, but i suppose an easy fix would be to change what the narrator says, so players don't get confused. i personally would've liked to use the same bind for weapon release and rocket firing, even though they're separated physically. But it is understandable that they are separate binds since it is more accurate 2
GeoS72 Posted June 20 Author Posted June 20 I was certainly confused, especially when the narrator says, "the red button on your stick"! Thank you for the attention to detail! For some reason, any preset loadout with the Tiny Tim rockets will not load. You can manually add them, but the Tiny Tims will not load from a dynamic spawn or automatically load in the tutorial.
GUCCI Posted June 20 Posted June 20 I'm guessing the tiny tims are only able to be loaded on the ground in a cold/hot start. Air start, tutorial mission, and dynamic spawn loadout doesn't load it XD 1
Fresh Posted June 20 Posted June 20 I fixed the Tiny Tim rockets mission, see attached .miz file. Fresh F4U - 08 - Tiny Tim rockets.miz 2 1

I selected the option to see the station limitations, and then selected them like that, but it didn't work in the usual manner.. but maybe I did something wrong...
_Hoss Posted June 23 Posted June 23 I get no Tiny Tims loaded in the Tiny Tim training mission, I get no Tiny Tims when I load them on the ground. This is what I get on my system. This is on cold start loading munitions. It doesn't even show the Tiny Tims. This is after spawn on the Tiny Tim training mission. I never see drop tanks or any other size bombs on any mission or even in the mission builder. There is something definitely wrong with my install. Sempre Fortis

_Hoss Posted June 23 Posted June 23 All mods are disabled, I thought of that too. I'm reinstalling the game and we'll see what that accomplishes. Maybe the F4U-1 install was corrupted in some form in download. It wouldn't be the first time that's happened to me with some module or update.. That file the guy posted above did fix the Tiny Tim training mission but everything else was still hosed. Sempre Fortis
AG-51_Razor Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Sorry Hoss but I get the Tiny Tims as well as the Bat Bomb. Don't know what the problem could be. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Fresh Posted June 25 Posted June 25 @_Hoss Try clicking on the payload restriction box, see if that helps to show the possible ordinance. 1
_Hoss Posted June 25 Posted June 25 I fixed with a reinstall, I figured it somehow got corrupted on the initial install. It's all good now. 1 Sempre Fortis
