It would be nice if the nosewheel could be steered using the rudder pedals. Also ran into an issue when disconnecting the autopilot the "Autopilot" disconnect warning cannot be silenced. Maybe I am missing something here, but to me it is really annoying to hear this warning over and over. Tried auto start and it did not work for me either. I looked, but I could not find a knob to move the HDG (heading) bug. The AP seems to have a HDG function button but I could not slew the HDG bug. Is there an joystick assignment for the landing lights or the taxi lights? Thanks to the devs in advance for looking at the above! Not a dev, so can't answer all the questions, but a couple of thoughts: For rudders for the tiller - You could try to use a modifier for the tiller. This should allow you to use your rudder pedals to steer the tiller (when you press the modifier button), and then use standard rudder (no tiller) when you release the modifier. Autopilot disconnect - look for a keybind for "Silence", "Hush", or "Cancel". 2

However as I hate the RTFM answer: Double press the autopilot disconnect it'll kill the warning. As mentioned the knob for the heading and course bugs are on the center console a bit below the flight computer. You can assign a button to the landing and taxi lights in the control editor if you want them on your stick. 4
Super727 Posted Thursday at 10:36 PM Posted Thursday at 10:36 PM Hi, Thank you guys for your answers! Found the HDG knob on the pedestal. And I re-mapped my AP disconnect .

Beirut Posted yesterday at 02:05 AM Posted yesterday at 02:05 AM Was big time looking forward to this plane and had high expectations. Keep your FF F-15C and your Typhoon, the C-130 was #1 on my list. Just had my first flight out of Groom Lake and I like it! My only disappointment is not being able to write my name on the coffee cup. Other than that, I can tell this thing is going to be fun. 6 Some of the planes, but all of the maps!

Or you double press disconnect. 2 1 "Muß ich denn jedes Mal, wenn ich sauge oder saugblase den Schlauchstecker in die Schlauchnut schieben?"

On top of the advice of pressing disconnect twice- I also highly recommend binding the hush button in the yoke settings, as you will get many audible warnings in this module. 2
Shaman Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago (edited) Incredible! I have done a quick flight over Syria with take off and landing and then learnt the whole startup procedure, took off and landed in Kobuleti at night. What an amazing experience! Devs have outdone themselves. Last time I flew a C-130 in a sim was two decades ago in CaptainSim C-130 for FS2004. How far we have got since! About a team that crashed in the mountains and had to eat each other to survive. True story actually. Very sad! The film is called "Alive", 90s something, with Ethan Hawk. Has Hueys. 3
Ornithopter Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I'm at the point in my flight sim career that I can't decide if I want to stick with the MiG-29 or retire to the leisurely life of a cargo pilot. I'm not sure. 1

OmasRachE Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) Wow I am so impressed of the module. This awesome checklist feature and all these little details! Love how much work you put in there. Edited 9 hours ago by OmasRachE 1
Cgjunk2 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago (edited) This module is fantastic. Just had my first flight with a copilot in multicrew over voice. Ran through the checklists for startup and takeoff together, then had a nice little flight. Copilot went for a walk in the back. Looked at the views through the open ramp, then came back to the filghtdeck and did some touch and gos, then landed and put her away. Awesome! only problem I saw was maybe the apu did not start when I asked the copilot to start it. I saw the knob move to start but it did not light. I had to do it, then it worked. Oh, and the toilet in the back doesn’t flush Edited 12 hours ago by Cgjunk2 1

Marshallman Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Well a frustrating start in the Pimax, until I unchecked the Ray tracing in the special menu... Fantastic flight this morning...... Loads to come im sure. Agree no start procedure as yet. Nosewheel steering I use a Lever (virpil CM3) and clip the axis as if you go past the left and right limits on the rotary wheel in the cockpit, it doesnt help and kinda locks up. The walkaround is awesome including getting off the ramp around the plane and back in. Shane45 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago As a former Paratrooper I spent more time jumping out of this iconic aircraft, Static Line and HALO and I love it, the work these guys have put into this a/c is extraordinary, well done. I'm hoping that there will be the opportunity to drop troops further down the line and lets not forget , it is early access, so standby for lots of patches. My first time in the pit last night going through the startup and in VR found it quite difficult to get my head in a position the read the lettering on the various switches and knobs and softkeys etc, I dont want to go back to trackIR to be able to fly this bird. 2

Schmidtfire Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) My impression is very good so far Flight modeling feels great. Lots of fun details to discover and learn. On the more critical side: Performance Module is obviously a bit more demanding than others, so flying low level on a demanding map with AI units around can be a struggle for some medium systems. but hopefully it will get more optimized as time goes on. (I play in 2560x1440p with an i7 11700K, SSD, 64GB RAM, RTX4070 Super and did have some performance drops flying low level over Cold War Germany without any AI units present) Manual I was struggling to find operating procedures in the provided manual. Luckily I got some help from the ASC discord server when I got stuck. Training missions I have only tried two so far, but it's kind of frustrating to get 2/3 through them and then get stuck on the last part. Voice overs are clipping hard, making listening a painful experience. Script and acting won't win any awards, but it does a good job at moving the tutorial along. Information can sometimes be a bit condensed because of all acronyms and abbreviations. It's great that the C-130J shipped with a big manual and training missions. But, in my opinion, the aircraft and systems are so complex and different (to what most of us are used to) that it needs even more step by step guides and videos. I don't know how many players got stuck on removing the parking brake the first day of release Edited 7 hours ago by Schmidtfire 1

Deepest apologies. I thought they were soccer players. But I'd still take the polar bear over soccer. But what an awesome plane this C-130 is! Going to try and figure out some MOAB action today. Just have to figure who, on what map, deserves it first. 1 Some of the planes, but all of the maps!
