Template (paintkit)

I saw that it will be in October, so perhaps very soon :), so far, no template for MiG-29A FF: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/texture_templates/filter/aircraft-is-mig-29/apply/.

By the way, has anyone checked whether the model is also encrypted and cannot be opened in Model Viewer 2?

Thankfully it was reported that its 3d shapes are not encrypted.

What is the point of having templates and the user files?
And what is the point of having moderators on the UF?'

If someone uploads some low-effort cheap copy paste, then thats the moderator's job to delete and moderate (imo)
But punishing the community, and especially the Livery creators, for something that ED doesnt lose anything on, is overkill.
If anything, someone ripping textures or a model from DCS is practically free advertisement, as they wouldnt steal stuff if it didnt have a certain quality.
Especially considering EDs practical monopoly in this Sim-niche that DCS is in, i dont particularly see what the big deal is.

Im saying this as someone who has made hundreds of liveries for DCS, War Thunder, Ace Combat, and even other stuff
My stuff gets stolen too, but its just part of making high-quality stuff. Again, if it wasnt good, nobody would steal it.
Plus, if someone uses EDs assets to make something for DCS, then it also benefits DCS.

My question is, what exactly does ED lose when someone steals a model/textures?
And how hard would it be for ED, to legally pursue people re-selling models and textures illegally?
I mean afterall, ED isnt selling the model or the textures, EDs product is the Flightmodel, the Avionics, and the Cockpit. While the rest is quite literally free.

So no tempate:

It was supposed to be in October, but it only exists for internal work. Removing layers and preparing the template will take us two hours for the graphic designer, with a coffee break included ;). So ...

It's par for the course for ED to give a time-frame on something and almost never follow through with it. Not surprised at all on this one, as much as I'd like to have the proper texture resolution than expanding 2k to 4k to fudge it, don't expect it any time soon or even this year. In fact, don't "expect" anything at all from ED and you'll never be disappointed and then you'll be pleasantly surprised when something pops up that you'd been wanting for ages.

The last news item said the model would retain a slight upgrade, which means the paint kit might also change. Meybe here is the reason of this delay?

The patch will likely be out tomorrow, and it would be nice if the template also appeared, as it was scheduled for October.

Yes, I read the latest newsletter. It also occurred to me that this might be the reason for the delay. However, I would also be happy to make some authentic liveries myself.
