parallel install of version 100 and 101a

hi guys,

i did several searches but could not find an answer: is it possible to install a 2nd BS version in parallel to an existing one (e.g. a clean 100+101a patch in a seperat directory to my existing installation)? if yes, does this costs me an additional registration? any feedback is much appreciated!

I have installed 1.00...then made a copy of it.

Then i patched to 1.01, and it works...Now, i can just switch between 1.00 and 1.01

Activations work on hardware profile and OS signature (I believe it was computer name or netowkr domain name, there's a FAQ entry about it somewhere), so installations and reinstallations will not eat activations unless those parameters have changed sufficiently.

One activation should be enough.

Steps are:

1) Install BS

2) Copy BS directory with another name

3) Install patch

4) Activate

5) Create links to copied directory using existing links as a reference

6) Profit :D
