joey45
What comes around, goes around. Give it ten or 15 years. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Ivonq
There will be a market for this.....as small boys will grow up....... I never understood its downfall anyway....... Lots has to do with the market approach and delivering quality goods....... I think ED's DCS:BS is a good start for the new era and I defenitely hope they continue to rise.....

Endoplasmic Reticulum
With games these days growing ever more prevalent on consoles, do you think the glory days of study flight sims ala the 90s will ever return? What will happen to the future of our genre? Does everyone listen to Britney Spears' music, or makes vacation in Spain? NO!! (thank god). There will always be different tastes. And as long as freaks (sorry guys, i've meant it in a positive way) like us exist, there will be stuff for us. I give myself as an example. Me as a photographer, mainly use film. When I get a job which has to be presented in an hour or so, I have to use digital. But when it comes to photography I only use film. Each kind of film has its own characteristics and no digital cam can compete with that. Digital is getting sharper and sharper and you can "simulate" effects, but film has soul and is "real". The film industry (Fuji and mainly Kodak) are still developing new film material which still fulfill all the analog-lovers' wishes. They sell less, but they still develop excellent stuff for us. I myself am happy being a sim lover and do things most people don't and not a typical this-sells-most-so-I-gotta-play-this-cuz-then-it-must-be-good guy. And for us there will be few, but good sims as long as we exist and ED and LP are around. Remember: only the dead fish swim with the stream. I used to love her, but I had to kill her I had to put her, six feet under And I can still hear her complain A tribute to BBetty and NNadja :bye_3:
