I guess there's an internal bug tracking list but I was wondering if you could publish what is in the pipelines so we know if a known bug affecting us is being investigated or not.
Or perhaps publish some sort of bug fixing roadmap?

You've been answered but still want to dig into dead end? Is this good enough for you?

No need to be condescending. I searched the forum but didn’t find anything.
If you want to help then please at least point me the links.

Apologies, you're right! Didn't intent it that way. Should have found a link. It's not your fault the native search function leaves a lot to be desired. I for one always use Google when searching the forums.
We good?
Cheers!

Excellent! 👍🏻

Edit: Personally, I love the idea, while at the same time, it is a really bad idea. Imagine the fit users will have when their favourite bug doesn't get fixed. 😉

Each module has its own ‘Bugs and Problems’ subforum, and there are other more general subforums for reporting bugs too. If a bug report is tagged with “Reported” or “Investigating” (or even “Fixed internally”) you have your answer 😊

That's another issue. One can't deal with the lack of maturity of some users. Yet I think it would be a great idea to share progress information without necessary going into details unless it's a very stubborn bug.

Yes I do realise that it's how ED has decided to go for the time being.

I'm coming back to DCS after years of development have past and it's not easy to catch with all that has been said so far.
The search function is indeed not the easiest thing to use unless you know which key words to use. So thank you for your understanding.

What I do realise is ED seems to have limited resources and this would probably divert some of it to where it's not a priority.

Thanks for all the pointers!

Hi,

it is a topic that has been discussed many times.

We have no plans for a public tracker, for now the forum system of subsections and us tagging threads as we investigate or report is enough, we also have social media and discord where issues are reported, and we get hundreds of reports each month that we try to investigate. We wont get to them all, its an impossible task but hopefully we catch the major ones.

We will miss reports, so feel free to tag me or nineline or DM us a question, we try to answer as many as we can, but as you mention we do have limited resources, our bug system internally also has a priority system and the project managers are the best to decide the priority of a reported issue, and that decision wont always match mine or your expectation, in all cases we have to be patient and wait for the fix to be in a future patch.

thank you

Yeah, once again, I wasn’t aware of this.
I’m not going to spam you guys and will simply continue to report bugs when I have time.

I can live with the current state of the sim.

Thanks for your help.

I've reported almost a dozen bugs within the last 6 months, some even with workarounds or fixes*. Unfortunately, zero have received any attention and tagging @BIGNEWY multiple times hasn't helped. While some of my reports are clearly nice-to-have fixes, others relate to core bugs that -- at the very least -- should end up on your internal bug tracker for triage in a timely manner. For the lack of that, reporting bugs feels like a total waste of my time.

*) Being tired of repeatedly applying my workarounds and fixes after every update, I've now resorted to automating that.
