Renko Posted Thursday at 06:55 PM Posted Thursday at 06:55 PM (edited) In the last mini update it says this: "In case you would like to keep using the automatic thrust brake button (Option "Thrust control lever moves freely"), please turn off altitude hold mode when large and/or fast changes in altitude are required. Please note that this option is very sensitive to noise from your hardware, so move the thrust lever smoothly in this mode." Meaning, as i asked in discord, that it will work as before. Only caution will be if you have noise in your hardware, or while in ALT Hold. As you can see in the track with my Virpil (no noise) and outside of any DAFCS mode, it will "jump" even when i make smooth movements with the Thrust. Its pretty easy to spot when testing, as soon as you step into the cockpit and move the Thrust ("collective") you notice the issue (BTW i would recommend the devs to include in the controls a new keybind. >> THRUST BRAKE Toggle << That way it gives more flexibility to the users, regardless of the mode selected in Special Options, and could potentially resolve some issues) Best Regards! Lixma 06 Posted Thursday at 07:04 PM Posted Thursday at 07:04 PM (edited) I was about to post something similar. Re: option 'Thrust control lever moves freely' If you move the lever quickly it's smooth, but anything slower (i.e. normal usage speed) and it moves in 'jumps'. Gorbys Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago I will third this, there was no trouble making smooth movements before the update, now it jumps in steps if you try to go slow with Option: "Thrust control lever moves freely" It is not noise tho as it will become smooth as soon as you depress the thrust lever brake button... For now I use the option "THRUST BRAKE control toggles thrust control lever mode" and just toggle it on so I can move it smoothly.
