It feels like the plane is tied to the ground and remains on the parking brake.

I would guess the parking brake is still engaged. Press and hold 'W', then click on the parking brake handle to the right of the yoke. If that doesn't work, check your brake binds to ensure they do not need to be inverted.

I guess I've got a similiar issue.

C-130 hot on the ground, startup procedures successfully completed, throttls up but the beast doesn't move, just lifts the nose a bit. Parking brake release [w] does not change anything, even with toe brakes hold.

How to start taxi?

Have you made sure, that your toe brake axis' aren't reversed? You need to press the toe brakes in in order to release the parking brake.
Worked for me in a hot start mission.

Yes, toe brake axis is setup correct. I've just tried it inverted too but with the same result. I fully press toe brakes 1st, then [W] to release parking brakes but the thing does not move when releasing toe brake axis, other than slightly dive the nose when throttling up.

I ran into this issue last night too, but only once. Most of my flights were fine, but one time the parking brake just wouldn't release, whether the brakes were held or not.  After 5 minutes of trying various sequences of wheel brakes & parking brake handle movements to get them released, they eventually did, but I didn't do anything the time they eventually released that I hadn't already tried multiple times in the preceding 5 minutes.

Also set the toe brakes as sliders.

Of course I did but it didn't help either. I also tried various combinations of [Ctrl+W], [Shft+W], [Alt+W] for parking brakes, of left and right toe brake axis - nothing helps.

@TheBiggerBass It was a friendly reminder not directed at anyone. If it was, I would have mentioned someone. Just like now.
To be honest, it gets really confusing when people makes replies without mentions.

Cheers!

its could be a  parking spot issue ive had the same with helicopters they are stuck to the ground , i just use another spot and its fine, seems like some terrain is messing it up sometimes

I keep on hitting various keys to check whats going on and somehow made this thing moving - but backwards! Throttle seem to be zeroed at center of axis. I doubt that this was intended by design. Therefore I assumed a control error and reinstalled C130J from scratch - which also didn't change anything unfortunately. I started another mission in the air and still noticed some strange control behaviours. May be there is an issue with the drivers for my VKB S-TECS throttle and GF IV ultimate stick. However all other DCS modules seem to work fine with my equipment.

May be I have to wait for next bug fix release.

Eventually other VKB S-TECS throttle and GF IV ultimate stick users could share their experience.

Press the W key on your keyboard, and hold it down. Then, click the parking brake handle with the left mouse button. Then release the W key.

Same thing for me with hot starts on the runway - power up, nothing happens other than the nose starts to float up and then down when I ease off the power. Brakes/parking brakes all checked to be disengaged.

that was last night - will play around some more today (I assumed I was just missing something and who knows, maybe I am)

That's "normal." If your throttle is all the way back to its idle stop, you've actually got the thrust reversers on and have negative pitch on the props. "Idle" isn't where you think it'd be on the Herc.

Ok so this was exactly what it was - when depressing my pedals I wasn’t completely pressing them to 100% of the travel… thanks for that
