winghunter Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago (edited) You can create a separate reverse axis by using a modifier and curves. This allows you to move your throttles all the way back without going in to reverse. They will only go into reverse when you hold the modifier button and move the axis between 0-20%. And while you hold the modifier button, you can't go into forward accidentally. It will only allow you to move between 0-20%. This can be done by changing the axis curves in DCS options. Assign left and right throttles as normal, then assign a modifier + throttle to the Throttles 1-4 Tune the curves for the throttle axis to level flat at 82 Tune the curves for the reverse axis to be flat at 82, then gradually rise to 100 Optionally, you can assign your second axis + modifier to something unused like TV, so it won't interfere with the throttle while the modifier is pressed. TGP14 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago This is a rather overcomplicated method when this could be fixed with two additional bindings akin to those found in most civil sims, ie. Increase throttle and decrease throttle binds. In the Herc's case perhaps we could have a "Toggle Range" bind that allows use to swap between Ground/Beta and Flight ranges for the throttle and a separate and dedicated "Apply Reverse" or "Set Reverse" binding that when pressed applies full reverse and can only be set when on the ground/weight on wheels to avoid accidental application due accidentally pressing the key in-flight or prematurely while landing. Outside of this control issue, this module is amazing and hopefully with community feedback this can be resolved in a way that covers all hardware setups comfortably! 1
winghunter Posted 17 hours ago Author Posted 17 hours ago To prevent reverse in flight, there is the autoreverse setting in the EFB -> Settings Or to disable: cargo menu -> settings -> turn off auto reverse -> bind ground range enable/disable in DCS control settings -> place throttles all the way back to go to IDLE 1 C-130J ASC DCS Web Editor - New 3D Mission Editor for DCS that runs in your browser DCS Web Viewer free browser based mission planner
