I have the Viper module, and I browsed several time the list (because I'm old and my eyes could be play myself a trick 😉 ) but  no F-16CM bl.50 visible. FYI, I can see all my others modules.
It might be due to a mod installed on my side. So, sorry for this post, indeed, it works for you.
Thanks @BIGNEWY

Strange. I don't have any mods for the Viper, but only the A-4 and a couple of Currenthill unit packs and the Viper Block 50 won't show on encyclopedia on my side either.

How come unit addons messes up with the encyclopedia that much?

Because mods are mods and mods are known to break various things. Which is why when you see an issue it is best to delete any and all mods and check everything is working. If something still doesn't work then it is a bug. Mods can introduce various bugs due to how they work and when they are installed they can mess with various files. There is a reason why a lot of servers choose to have Integrity Check on. Mods can also mess with other people in online servers.

Yes. I know that very well. But notice those aren't "mods". I haven't introduced any modified DCS file. Those are simply unit packs inside the saved games DCS folder.

No integrity check can detect addons like those. I pass on any IC on any server.

I realize the 'mod' folder they are installed.  I'm just puzzled on how they are messing with the Encyclopedia. I always thought the A-4 was innocuous addon, as well as the CH packs.

I only have the Russian and the USA pack from CH.

I think you don't quite understand since you said "notice those aren't mods"The A-4 is a mod. The CH items that you downloaded are all mods.

In terms of DCS a mod is any item that is downloaded separately and is not part of the base game by default, which is a pretty standard definition of mod in a game. So simply put, if it wasn't part of DCS when you downloaded DCS or bought off of the official product page it is considered a mod. And as I have stated mods can break DCS. It does not matter what it is. It can simply be just adding an aircraft or a single guy on the ground. Mods are not quality check by anyone other than the person who made them which is why they are a mod and can break DCS.

The A-4 is not just an addon either. An example of an addon would be the NS thingy used for navigation in some aircraft that you buy off the official products page.

A module is any officially made product/item by ED or any third party dev (F16, F-4, Mig19 are all modules). So the CH items we received recently are officially part of the DCS core game now and are official items. If it is officially part of DCS when you downloaded it then it has less chance of breaking things as it was designed to work with DCS core.

Hope that clarifies things.
