pressytcn Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 when opening black shark the splash screen shows then i get the message dcs black shark not responding after about 30 seconds my system is a medion md8833 gforce gt 8600 256 mb 3 gb ddr 2 ram cpu intel 2 quad cpu q6600 2.40 ghz what can cause this?
EtherealN Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Please check the folder named "temp" within your Black Shark installation. In there you should hopefully find files named error.log and/or errors.log. Paste those in here and we can have a look. A DxDiag file would also be helpful, to analyze your hardware closer. Which operating system do you use, and which driver version do you have loaded for the hardware? dragony Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 You have Danish locale set. Which version of BS and patch you're using? Please note that if want to run English version of BS on Danish locale, you should install 1.0.1a BS patch. WBR, =FV=BlackDragon. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

dragony Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 No, no t necessary. Just do clean BS install, then apply full (not hotfix) 1.0.1a patch. WBR, =FV=BlackDragon. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
pressytcn Posted September 2, 2009 Author Posted September 2, 2009 just did that it still does the same thing i even changed to a new 512mb graphics card what can cause this i see this is a known bug :(
EtherealN Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Try disconnecting unecessary peripherals. For example, disconnect everything that is not strictly required for starting the process - including joystick. If you have spare keyboards and mice around, try swapping them out. Basically we might see if there's some kind of hardware problem going on, or a driver conflict. Some people have reported some issues (though not quite as severe as what you are describing) with the IntelliMouse, so a first step could be to change to another mouse. (If you have one you can borrow from someone.)
