Delareon Posted Sunday at 08:18 PM Posted Sunday at 08:18 PM Hi folks, i havent played for a while and wanted to get my feet wet again. So i fired up everything and at first glance, still everything works great. But then i tried to use the FCR in my trusty ol F-16 and realized the cursor moves to the top right and doesnt stop... I tried to update the drivers, unplug, use another USB port... nothing. seems like that ministick wont work. has anyone experienced the same or has any ideas how i can get this thing working again?
razo+r Posted Sunday at 08:26 PM Posted Sunday at 08:26 PM Have you also checked your axis controls in DCS itself? Have you tried calibrating your axis?
Delareon Posted Sunday at 08:30 PM Author Posted Sunday at 08:30 PM I tried to delete those axises in DCS and reassign them but no joy. I tried calibrating but the Stick doesnt react at all. Everything else works but this stick is stuck in one corner, no matter what i do.
razo+r Posted Sunday at 08:32 PM Posted Sunday at 08:32 PM In that case you should perhaps look at the internals of the ministick, consider replacing the ministick or even if all fails, potentially replacing the throttle.

You can check that the connector is fully seated but it is likely that it has failed. It's pretty common. There are replacement kits that use a gamepad thumb stick mechanism which works much better than TM's.

Delareon Posted 15 hours ago Author Posted 15 hours ago Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately it seems like that ministick really gave up. I had my Warthog for 10 years now so i think its time to retire it. I just took the opportunity and bought a WinWing Throttle. Will keep the stick at least for now and replace it later just to keep the pressure on my bank account a bit lower. Maybe i keep using the Warthog Throttle for WW2 Planes. Not sure about that but at least thats an option. 1
MAXsenna Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago @Delareon Congrats on your purchase! You can probably get a few bucks of it since the replacement fix is really easy if one knows how to use a screwdriver and is willing to pay for it. Or, keep it as a button box etc. I use my Warthog a lot in helicopters as power levers etc, even if I have a collective. The possibilities are endless.
Delareon Posted 5 hours ago Author Posted 5 hours ago @MAXsenna havent thought of using it as a button box or additional levers thanks for that idea.... I mean im a Developer, so using a screwdriver is indeed a challenge for me But i checked the page from Delta Simulations, it seems like that even i cant mess up replacing that ministick, so i might give it a try.

Compared to the original TM, the Delta Simulations one is far better. You won't regret it.
