FriedrichNix Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago (edited) Hi, first, I got no trackfile. I just have the feeling, that the radar in the F14B Tomcat picks up targets not as far away and not as well as it used to. In fact, Jester and I lately had a hard time finding targets at all. That includes targets that are already shown on datalink. I know - there's a lot more to it, ground clutter, aircraft aspect aso., but I just "feel" there might have changed something with the jet. You have similar experiences? Or is it just me, being dumb? Edited 16 hours ago by FriedrichNix
draconus Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago We can test if you have something specific in mind. Does not appear to be weak if one can lock target from 160nm: Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 MiG-29A F-14A/B F-15E C-130J CA SC NTTR PG Syria
FriedrichNix Posted 13 hours ago Author Posted 13 hours ago I don't know much about constructed long range shots at 50000ft msl. I just thought if someone noticed a difference in the regular use of the airplane. There's always a chance, that something got changed with the introduction of the "Early A" or with a new DCS version. But if noone noticed a difference, then it's maybe a me thing.
Ivandrov Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Nope, haven't noticed anything. If you do get a track file we can tell you if there is something that is going on in your cockpit that is making things difficult for you.
