dresoccer4 Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Is there a tutorial for loading and jumping a bunch of paratroopers? Looked on youtube but didn't see any results. Assume it's a little different than 'normal' loads. 1 Acer Predator Triton 700 || i7-7700HQ || 512GB SSD || 32GB RAM || GTX1080 Max-Q || FFB II and Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle || All DCS Modules

They teased it with some pictures when the C-47 was coming to the WWII Asser Pack, (you can search for pictures), but nothing came of it. Hopefully they will come now. Maybe they're waiting for the updated soldiers.
dresoccer4 Posted December 1 Author Posted December 1 (edited) can you load regular troops into the cargo hold and drop them off the old fashioned way? Jenrick Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Spawn them in the ME as ground units, then you can load and drop them just like any other vehicle. 1
Rotorhead09 Posted December 2 Posted December 2 It still blows me away that you have the C-130 and you don't have Paratroopers with it. One of the main missions of the Herc for what 40+ years. You have the Jump Doors, the Static line the Retrieval system. And Chuteable Cargo but no Paratroopers. Hell the Free Annubis Mod had that ability 4 years ago. And we have a fully developed Paid mod that can't?? C'mon... 5
isotaan Posted December 2 Posted December 2 Not quite "no paratroopers." You can load infantry into the back. You can assign them parachutes. You can drop them out of the back ramp. They will deploy parachutes like any cargo. I did it manually, but conceivably you can use the computer for it. What you can't do is drive a full load of 80+ infantry units without killing your frame rate while taxxiing. The infantry will tumble out uncontrollably if you try to do all of them at once.

isotaan Posted December 2 Posted December 2 I know the saying is "sticks in the wind" but in this case that's what they look like. No orderly jump, just "everyone out!" 2
theonefrancis Posted December 3 Posted December 3 You can definetly load troops into the plane and paradrop them wherever you want. You just need a group of infantrymen loaded like normal cargo, then release them in air (I suggest not to be higher than 1000ft as they are very light and takes a lot to get to the ground). They then act like normal infantry, so you can direct them with a game master. You cannot drop them while on the ground unfortunately, they turn into mindless statics and roll all over the place. It's a bug.

Absokinlutely mate, As a former Brit Para , not the main reason but certainly one of the reasons for me buying the Herc was to be able to drop troops like I did with Anubis, I'm sure it will come further down the updates.

To be fair to ASC, this module’s only been out a week, and it’s been released in an incredibly good state. To mis-quote the old slogan, “the impossible we’ve already done, the miraculous will take a little longer…!” Have some patience and give them time to get some updates out! 2

gabuzomeu Posted December 4 Posted December 4 On the ground, put an infantry group close to the aircraft back open the ramp. Ctl + c to open efb, select cargo then stage. Select the infantry one by one, ( blue) then in the cargo menu you can select staged units. When loaded you have to give them a chute ( same as with containers or any other payload) That’s it 2 Details: Asus Z-170E, Intel i5-6600K @ 4.2GHz, 16GB RAM MSI GTX970 Gaming 4G Win 10 Home
