Jaryn Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 Why are the machines drowned in fortifications?
speed-of-heat Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 the fortifications are there for two reasons, to protect the asset from surrounding blast and fragmentation damage extenally (by causing the blast to form over the angle of the berm) , and to protect surrounding assets from blast and fragmentation from within the fortication (typically by directing the blast upwards)... it can do neither if the fortifcation is too small or not high enough to cover the asset... 1 SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
buur Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 Because the floor of the mod is not recognized by the vehicle. Is the fortification from a mod? Best is to report this to the mod makers. If it is from a map, report to the map makers.
western_JPN Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Hi. I cannot reproduce Jaryn's situation. In my mission executing, SAMs and EWRs are correctly elevated on the ERO-Revetments. 2 Modules: A-10C/II, F-4E, F-5E(Re), F-14A/B, F-15E, F-16C, F/A-18C, AV-8B, FC3, Ka-50-2/3, UH-1H, Mi-8MTV2, SA342, Mi-24P, AH-64D, CH-47F, P-51D, F4U-1D Maps: Nevada, PG, Syria, SA, Sinai, Kola, Afghanistan, Iraq, CW Germany, Channel, Normandy2.0 Assets etc.: CA, Sc, WW2AP Mods and Skins in User Files: files/filter/user-is-western0221/
Finnisher Posted February 1 Posted February 1 For the revetments with floors to work correctly, they need to be placed as static objects, not fortification units
