Greetings!

I've been messing around with the MiG-29 and am having trouble with the autopilot. I've followed the proper startup procedure, using several YT videos as guidance. In spite of that, I have never been able to use the autopilot when starting cold.

The AFCS would do its calibration test and complete seemingly without issue. The tellulite panel displays the dampener as off, even though it should be on after the AFCS test is complete (if the tutorials are anything to go by). The autopilot panel sometimes displays the dampener as on, even though the tellulite panel doesn't, and it doesn't turn off even when pressed. In some cases, all the green lights on the autopilot panel are flashing seemingly without cause.

When I start a scenario where I am already flying, the autopilot functions as it should so I am sure I have done something wrong somewhere. I just cannot figure out what that is. I hope you guys can help!

I always do cold start and it worked for me last time. I will check. Care to share your track ?

I just tested it and it works pretty much the same cold start & air start, albeit it is work in progress I would say! Make sure to trim neutral after DAMPER BIT on cold start.

This means the AFCS did not finish/calibrate properly, when it does, only the damper button will have solid (not flashing) green light on.

I believe when you cold start, you need to get at least one engine running before you start AFCS calibration, not before.
