Bushmanni Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I read from Ed Macys excellent Apache how they used data link to hand-off target positions to other Apaches and then they could automatically point cameras to them. I thought that's pretty useful way to communicate location information and proceeded to see if KA-50 would have something similar. After reading manual I found how to point camera to a target point stored in PVI-800 but nothing about targets stored in ABRIS where the datalink targets go. Is there some way to transfer ABRIS target points to PVI-800 or directly slew Shkval to ABRIS targets? Griffin Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Yup: (Assuming Targeting mode has been reset) 1. Select the Datalinked target of choice (it will flash on ABRIS) 2. Select the "DL/Ingress Button" (next to Send/Mem). Once selected, your target of choice will be marked in a cross on the ABRIS. 3. Uncage the Shkval. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=41201&highlight=shkval+datalink+points
Bushmanni Posted January 1, 2010 Author Posted January 1, 2010 Feeling so stupid not to remember use search. But thanks anyway. DCS Finland: Suomalainen DCS yhteisö -- Finnish DCS community -------------------------------------------------- SF Squadron
nemises Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 yes, this is a vital procedure, not just for target handover , but for co-ordinating navigation....
