TAIPAN_ Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Hi All, I've come to lockon from DCS, there's two things I don't understand yet: 1. With ECM pods on the Su-25t, how do I tell if they are on or off? The IRCM has a light in the cockpit. But when I push the ECM on button, there is no way to tell if it's on or off? 2. How do I record/save tracks of my flights? DCS has a button to save track on debrief but I didn't see this in lockon. 3. The online campaigns/missions, do the units respawn or get resupplied as time progresses? if so, does the briefing screen represent what has been killed yet or is it static? Thanks Pimax Crystal VR & Simpit User | Ryzen CPU & Nvidia RTX GPU | Some of my mods
Brit_Radar_Dude Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 ECM indicator is on the right hand console just under the canopy rail a round green light with NOMEXA written next to it. You have to decide before you start that you want to record your flight. Instead of pressing the FLY button, if you want to record a track, choose Flight, Record Track or use the keyboard shortcut of CNTRL/R. Dont fly online so can't help you with your final question. Renato71 Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 3. The online campaigns/missions, do the units respawn or get resupplied as time progresses? if so, does the briefing screen represent what has been killed yet or is it static? No campaign as such, only missions. No respawn or resupply for AI. (AI has no fingers to push SHIFT+ENTER.) Briefing represents initial conditions only, does not show a mission progress. You have to enter the mission and the exit, and you will see the current debriefing screen. I'm selling MiG-21 activation key. TAIPAN_ Posted February 2, 2010 Author Posted February 2, 2010 Ok thanks guys. That little tiny light no wonder I didn't see it. Wish I knew about the saving track. I landed my su-25 in fc campaign with nose wheel only and 1 engine destroyed and apache firing 30mm over my head. For some reason he left me alone when I landed so I repaired then busted his ass up. On the missions isn't there any way with triggers to simulate resupply by activating units after 24 hours passes? Surely this would help to be like a short dynamic campaign. Triggers could have condition of base structures existing to work. So knock out ports means no ship resupply Pimax Crystal VR & Simpit User | Ryzen CPU & Nvidia RTX GPU | Some of my mods
Renato71 Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 AI apparently does not fire upon aircraft on the ground, at least if they are not designated as targets in mission editor. No triggers whatsoever in FC112. Triggers promised in FC2, which is a logical expectation if I understood developers descriptions regarding similarities between FC2 and DCS. Suggestion - wait for FC2, and practice flying on FC112. There will not be any significant changes in flight/combat models, or at least nothing that will not be easy to pick up on quickly, especially in a2g. I'm selling MiG-21 activation key. nemises Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 There are no triggers in Lockon :) (at least until 2.0, where it should share the same ME as DCS:BS I blieve?) The (currentl) lockon ME is VERY p`rimative in comparison to the DCS ME.
