Suhoj27
Hello So, i am trying to recall the good memories by playing back the Su-27 Squadron commander 1.5 but it is without sound. I have a 32 bit Vista :( Any suggestion how to reslove the problem? The graphic is ok, also i tried all compatibility solutions without success . Thanks for the responses Bye
mikoyan
oh, It may be because vista audio acceleration is different, I have problems with lock-on's audio, and that is really sad.
Silent Warrior
Acceleration, you say? The way I heard it, it's more or less non-existant... Well, there is some kind of (software) sound-server that I'm not overly familiar with that was criticized for making soundcard-upgrades mostly pointless. Though I have a feeling that mostly concerned Creative's way of getting us some surround/5.1/7.1-sound - sound driver crashes cited as driving cause behind scrapping DirectSound. If your board is Creative-made, though, have you investigated OpenALchemy, or whatever it's called?
