Hi there,

just a short question. Will Black Shark run on a SU7300? That a 1.3GHz CULV Dual Core. The CPU performance is on the same level as a T2600 2.13Ghz Dual Core. There is also a proper GPU (not Intel GMA) but I'm somewhat unsure a what to expect from Black Shark here.

Thanks for the help.

Both the SU7300 and the T2600 will give you very poor performance in DCS:BS. The SU7300 I wouldn't even dare say whether it'll actually be playable at all. T2600 will be playable but not all that smooth. Make sure to combine with a modern operating system that has Dx10 support - IE not XP.

Basically, you want clock speed. Good size cache doesn't hurt either (T2600 suffers greatly there). 3GHz or more is recommended by both myself and the system req recommendation from ED. ;)

Yes, the T2600 is acceptable, but it's not quite at the place where you can feel sure that it won't get overloaded by missions. I mean, ideally you'd want to know that any mission or campaign you download (that isn't made specifically for the purpose of making your system crawl, like Panzertard's missions :P ) will run somewhere around "smooth".

I ran DCS:BS acceptably on my C2D 2GHz laptop, with a few exceptions like the Battle mission and such where it did sometimes drop to a bit more of a crawl than I liked. But that's of course always a question of personal preferences.

Graphics card choice only helps if and when the CPU is not the bottleneck. On most missions I'd expect a machine with a T2600 to perform identically no matter if it's a 7900GTX or a GTX 285 - FPS difference will be around 0 until you start cranking up AA and AF levels obscenely or connect it to a huge amount of screens. Until then, the processor will be the bottleneck.
