I'll second the Hercules request. I'd like to see the MC-130H and maybe an AC-130H/U as well. Turn down the sound and pay attention to all of the missions being preformed.

I wouldn't mind doing SF infiltration/exfiltration or some precision landscaping with the GBU-43/B or maybe using the BLU-82 for those times when you just don't care what trees you prune. It's a bit overkill but it could also be used to haul trash in a pinch as well.

Truly superior pilots are those that use their superior judgment to avoid those situations where they might have to use their superior skills.

If you ever find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

i would really like to see all the a/c in a strike package to be modeled

pick a time-frame and model at DCS level the important players for a representative conflict of that era (vietnam, ODS, WWII, korea, etc)

but it would be really great if we could have all the elements of a strike package of various eras modeled -- fighters, attack/bombers, SOJ/escort jammers, tankers, AWACS, recon, various helos (jolly green!)

(granted, not sure we "need" tankers to be actually "human" flyable - or SOJ a/c (if AI was adequately programmed - which wouldn't be too difficult, ref: JF15/18 ) - or AWACS [but it sure would be fun to stand a watch as an AIC in an AWACS!] - etc etc ---- within reason of course)

i mean, seems like people here really are interested in "realism" (me too!) - lets keep walking down that path - lets build the contents of a strike package!

ambitious? you betcha!!

fun? absolutely!!

Im a troll because I have a other opinion?

Interesting...:mad::mad:

Your post had nothing to do with opinions. You were stating what you believed were facts with no evidence or sources to back it up.

Do I think the F-22 is a great plane? Of course!

Do I believe it's the best plane in the world and nearly invincible? Definitely not.

That's an opinion:)

And also, as X93355 said, there is nowhere near enough declassified data to even make an AI plane of the F-22 let alone a flyable one. I'm pretty sure even its speed stats are kept a secret.

My personal favourite American fixed wing jet is the F/A-18C so I'm in luck, thanks ED :)

While I wouldn't go as far as to refer to you as a troll, the F-22 is good in theory, on paper. You really can't claim something is the best at a task it has yet to actually perform. Sure it has enough things in place that should benefit it greatly in combat, once it actually sees combat.

The C-130 can even land on and thus supply carriers ... want! :smilewink:

well.. that technically "happened" but that's a one-off kind of event

carriers (and CVBGs - carrier battlegroups) are primarily resupplied via underway replenishments (UNREPs - ship-to-ship transfers of stores/ordnance/fuel/etc - lil trivia: UNREPs are actually safer and preferred over resupply while moored at the pier) --- and on a smaller scale via C-2 greyhound (cargo version of the E-2) --- and we also had the MH-53 fly out weekly (mail! yay!!)

[psst! i have it on good authority MH-53s don't actually "fly" - they just push the earth away..]

; )

yeah - if they intend to cover the vietnam war era (huey, mig-21 - although its the BIS version, i think it came after..), an OV-10 would be great

but also F-4, F-105, F-8, and late in the war the A-6 and A-7..)

I'm surprised the F-16 has not so much love. How many 'Falcon4eers' in here?

Seems Modern Naval Ops takes it all...

Plenty of love here! A DCS level F-16 would be bliss for me.

I would like to see a late version of F-16, C or MLU. It's a popular fighter who flyes in many countries, it's a good fighter and it's a beauty to sit in and I think fly with, because of it's cockpit/canopy.

F-16 deserves DCS World.

The F-16D would be a killer aircraft for DCS, just imagine f-16's escorting a-10's over the sky's of Nevada... That would be the day =)

One day in DCS... Vipers will fly along side Tomcats... Bugs with Superbugs, Tiffy's with Tornado's, Fulcrums with Flankers and Mirage with Rafales...

:)The Future of DCS is a bright one:)

1. F/A-18

2. F-16

3. F-4

This way it is easier for ED to make them, most of the information is declassified AND they already made the in-game models! Win-win! :) The first can complement the Russian Su33, the second is too iconic and prolific to pass up (especially if the Mig23 is also released at some point), and the third is a perfect complement for the soon to be released Mig21.

Is there anyone interested in the F105 Thud ?

F105 Thud and 'Thud Ridge' is a flight sim dream, I am just wondering if there is a market for this huge fighter/bomber ? The Vietnam war saw many pilots lose their lives flying this aircraft on bombing missions and 'wild weasel' sortie's. Certainly plenty of variation in missions for those who like to fight.
