Zooker Posted May 21, 2010 Share Posted May 21, 2010 I'm experiencing the same issue. It seems there is a memory leak. Crashing occurs more quickly with missions that have a lot going on. I copied a couple error files (attached). Attempted changing the size of the page file like Mustang did here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=53874 That did not work. Design Posted May 21, 2010 Share Posted May 21, 2010 It seems that there is a little mistake with those filenames: they appear in lowercase in their folder \LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\Sounds\sdef. Please, try to make a copy of those files in the same location as a backup and change the first letter of the original to uppercase, leaving them as they appear in the error log. Maybe it's also needed for: menusounds.sdef Please, tell us if it works. I will not have time to test this out until tonight. However, could the other errors in the log be caused by the same thing? The following are lowercase: .../Aircrafts/_Common/birds.lua .../Aircrafts/F-15C/Cockpit/device_init.lua .../Aircrafts/a-10a/Cockpit/device_init.lua Also, what do the following errors tell you? DXDefTexture: failed to load .\FUI\Common\knopka-main.tga, D3DXERR_INVALIDDATA. DXDefTexture: failed to load ./Temp\~mi3A3F.tmp, E_OUTOFMEMORY. DXDefTexture: failed to load F-15-cockpit-reflection.tga, D3DXERR_INVALIDDATA Again, thanks for the help...I'll report back when I have had the chance to test out the changes. I received nVidia OpenGL Driver error. I was unable to get a screenshot of the message, if it happens again I will. At the lower settings I didn't have a crash, but definitely some stutters and hiccups that got progressively worse. New sound engine is structured in a way, that missing sounds or API misuse (as in mentioned log string) are completely safe.
