I like it!

I'm working one one with a bluish hue. I can't seem to find something that I really like. it's either too light or too dark. It seems you've found the right balance.

Nice work

Yeah the balance was hard to get between day and night times. I wanted something that had a light hue on the cone during the day and somewhat glowed at night. really just alot of trial and error :)

What you might try for your's is using layers for each individual change and using opacity to adjust the hue and simulated glow.

I can't say much on this subject, but i think the hard parts are: "When is it blue or orange, and when can you see the cone?"

Is it even possible to make dynamic AB, depending on situation?

unfortunately not, not with the actual cones because they use an one texture and template which does not vary! without argument for the model 3d.:(

hmm this is alittle off topic, but has anyone tried animating the burners in argument 40 in their custom model? this is the same argument you can use to get blinking and rotating lights. Only problem is that you wont see tis effect on your own aircraft, only on other players aircraft its visible. (not sure in fc2 though, maybe they fixed it??)
