AKA_Clutter
All, I installed the patch over my 1.01 install. Took a couple of tries, but seems to work fine. I did note that it replace my templates with a blank set. I found the templates.bs file in the DCS\BlackShark\Blackshark directory in my 1.01 backup and placed in the same folder in my 1.02 install. When I go to try and chose a template, it shows all the names, but then the game locks and Alt-Tab shows several "error" screens. Does anyone know how I might get my tempatles back into 1.02 without reinstalling. Panzertard
I can give you a default template file - I assume the 1.0.2 file format may have changed since 1.0.1c Remember, always make backups before you replace any files ;) As for importing - you may need to check the content and manually moving over content in a proper LUA-format, using Notepad++ or Notepad2 I guess.templates.rar The mind is like a parachute. Distiler
Format has changed. A way to "import" them is to have a 1.01 mission with all template groups placed in it and then re-save the templates in 1.0.2 editor. ESAc_Karcha
Format has changed. I'm afraid that it is a complex problem with a complex solution... Edited May 18, 2010 by ESAc_Karcha
ESAc_Karcha
After carefully reading the new 'templates.bs', I have realized that there are new parameters that were not in the version 1.0.1 (speed, task, actions). Distiler
Yes: In BS 1.0.1: [1] = { ["long"] = 0, ["heading"] = 3.1415926535898, ["name"] = "SR 9S80 Ovod-M-SV", ["lat"] = 0, ["skill"] = "Excellent", }, -- end of [1] En DCS 1.0.2 and FC2: [1] = { ["alt"] = 33, ["heading"] = 0, ["lat"] = 0, ["skill"] = "Average", ["long"] = 0, ["name"] = "ZU-23 Emplacement Closed", ["speed"] = 5.5555555555556, ["task"] = "Nothing", ["actions"] = { ["type"] = "Turning Point", ["name"] = "Off road", ["action"] = "Off Road", }, -- end of ["actions"] }, -- end of [1] AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision
ESAc_Karcha
Exactly, And After I added them ...Works!!
Distiler
Well of course if you manually add all the parameters it will work. It's just a pain in the ass if you have lots of templates. Best solution is having a mission with all the groups done in a previous version, then open it in the new version of the editor and just re-save the groups again. AKA_Clutter
I have one mission that is giving me problems. I keep getting the "error " screen while in the ME> I created it in BS 1.01, made some modes in BS ME 1.02, flew in FC-2, then made a change in FC-2 ME, saved. After that when I open in BS ME, I get the errors. Does anyone know if this could be the source of my errors, or something else? ---------------- AKA_Clutter Win 10 Pro, Intel i7 8700k @4.6 GHz, EVGA RTX 3080 FTW, Ultra 64 GB G.Skill DDR4 3600 RAM, Acer 27" flat screen, Oculus Rift S, HP Reverb G2, CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle and Pro Rudder Pedals HOTAS, TM Warthog HOTAS, MFG Rudder Pedals, TrackIR 5 Pro w/Vector Expansion, PointCTRL. Totally agree with you at this point ... But I could not solve with the method you mention, as I commented it before. There are probably other aspects that have changed. And thanks for you interest in...
