1.0.2 engines sound bug

Bug description:

 

The sound of the left engine disappears when starting the right engine.

 

Steps to reproduce / Conditions of occurence

 

1. Start a mission from park. Engines stopped.
   
2. Start APU using standard procedure.
   
3. Start left engine using standard procedure.
   
4. Check how the left engine sound increases until nominal.
   
5. Start the right engine using standard procedure.
   
6. Check how the previous sound from left engine suddenly mutes.
   
7. Check how the right engine sound increases until nominal.
   
8. Shut off the APU.
   
9. Shut down the right engine using the cut-off valve.
   
10. Check how the engine sound decreases until zero.
    
11. Check there is no right engine sound although left engine is on.

Confirm above. I got X-Fi Audio PCI sound card.

Same problem here.

 

I tested a couple of things, everything seems to point to the left engine sound in my case.

 

Default T/O procedure: Left engine first, then right engine

1. Start APU
2. Check APU sound okay on both stereo channels
3. Start left engine
4. Check engine sound okay, but only on left stereo channel (no engine sound at all on right channel, APU sound remains okay on both channels)
5. Start right engine
6. Check left engine sound instantly disappers, right engine sound okay on both stereo channels
7. Shutdown right engine
8. Check right engine sound slowly decreases
9. When right engine is completely off, left engine sound kicks in at 100% on left stereo channel

Starting right engine first

1. Start APU
2. Start Right Engine
3. Check Sound okay on both stereo channels
4. Start left engine
5. Check no sound at all from left engine
6. Shutdown right engine
7. Check right engine sound slowly decreases (as above)
8. When right engine is completely off, left engine sound kicks in at 100% on left channel
   

 

My sound card is SoundBlaster Audigy 4.

 

This problem only appeared after I installed the 1.0.2 patch (over a clean install as suggested in the patch notes).

Tested and confirmed as per OP.. Using a logitech headset..

Although i found after:

 

step 8: Shut down APU

Step 9: Shut down right engine ( this is where the left engine goes silent)

 

After right engine spools down the sound of the left engine cuts back in.. whaa

Got the same problem, but only when cockpit door is closed!
