average_pilot
I'm migrating to win7, and it has coincided with the 1.0.2 release. I can't remember how I fixed it before, but now I'm noticing that when I center the view (I use a Head Mounted Display) the camera is pointing several degrees down. I don't know if it's a calibration problem or if it's done on purpose. I've been searching the forum for a solution, but only have found one solution that is based on editing monitorsetup. It works, but affects all cameras, and I do a profuse use of external views for my own enjoyment. Is there another way to remove that pitch angle offset on the in-cockpit view? average_pilot
Thanks. Searching info about that mod I've found the solution http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=694367&postcount=3 Modifying the correspoding snap view... I wouldn't have guessed that by myself in all my life.
average_pilot
Hmm... it doesn't work. Maybe the snapviews file is deprecated in 1.0.2. :(

Nate--IRL--
Edit Line 50 and 51 in View.lua to read DisableSnapViewsSaving = false UseDefaultSnapViews = false Now when in cockpit setup the view exactly the way you want it (Zoom & Position) And press Right ALT and NUMPAD 0 to save your new default view. ZQuickSilverZ
average pilot I have considered a head mounted dispay. However I have one question for you. HOW THE HECK DO YOU SEE THE KEYBOARD? That was the only fualt I could find with the HMD (Head Mounted Dispay) set up. I need, I need, I need... What about my wants? QuickSilver original. "Off with his job" Mr Burns on the Simpsons. "I've seen steering wheels / arcade sticks / flight sticks for over a hundred dollars; why be surprised at a 150 dollar item that includes the complexities of this controller?! It has BLINKY LIGHTS!!" author unknown. These titles are listed in the chronological order I purchased them. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

That was the only fualt I could find with the HMD (Head Mounted Dispay) set up.It doesn't cover the view of the real world completely, so it's easy to see your surroundings. What I do is to use a red light that allows me to see the keyboard, etc, when I need it to but reduce the interference when I concentrate on the displays. But there are many more faults: expensive hardware, ridiculous field of view, low resolution, poor head tracking, poor or non existing stereoscopic graphics support... I'm forgetting something else but now it doesn't comes to my mind. Who knows why I like it despite all... Maybe what I really like is the concept itself.
