the properties tab is missing also its like when I ununstalled NVIDIA drivers it just disappeared not sure if NVIDIA uninstall manager did this?

I'm in the process of reinstalling I hope I don't have to re-due my multi-monitor stuff.. :(

Create a new shortcut.

 

In the Target field, enter:

C:\Games\DCSBS\bin\x86\stable\launcher.exe --console

 

In the Start In field, enter:

C:\Games\DCSBS

 

Obviously, you'll want to change the details there to correspond to what you actually have. For example, it might be:

 

"C:\Program Files(x86)\Eagle Dynamics\DCSBS\bin\x86\stable\launcher.exe" --console

"C:\Program Files(x86)\Eagle Dynamics\DCSBS"

 

In this case, note how a directory with a space in it requires the use of quotation marks.

no its like this D:\Games\Eagle-Dynamics\KA50\ I tried that way still same error, I'm computer geek I have 5 partitions and 2 drives.. I learned from my Vista 64 bit days about the new M$ security features.

I hate WIN7 its worse than Vista 64. I have had nothing but problems with WIN7. I just might go back to vista 64.

WIN7 mysteriously deletes files too, ghost in the machine..

Can you show the shortcut of the multiplayer interface, and have you tested to see if the same problem arises with that?

yes I know about the AI. and yes the Multiplayer exe works. but thats alright im reinstalling it.. I have all my stuff backed up in ways so I should be up and running after install loading the patch now

lol reinstall did not work. :mad: the icon is back to dos formate and I can not launch it..It CTDs.

 

the 1.00v worked I tested it, after I patched it it doesn't work. 1.0.2 v

My game works.

 

I've made a mistake.

 

Last line should say: "Use shortcut to launcher.exe that game made".

 

I don't have simulator.exe shortcut, nor games start if I double click simulator.exe.

yes the AI is off. I dont think BS likes ATI lol

Actually, my experience is that ATi really does not like OpenGL. :P

 

I have never used a multimonitor setup for DCS:BS so I'm afraid I cannot help you with that one.

after 8 hours of messing with this I got it to work. The game engine is very finicky.

 

I did everything the same way as I did before only 7 times losing all my activations.

 

The last activation and reapplying the same set-up, worked, only difference is the Shkval is not centering itself in the monitor at 480, I set it to 482 and still same result. It will not fill the full screen about 1/2 an inch is white across the top side of the monitor. It like it has a horizontal problem.

mine done the same thing i reinstalled my windows vista ultimate 64 and reinstalled the game and its ok now and thanks to etherealn and some guys im running pretty good now, luckly i had just done a reinstall so i didnt lose much.......reb

What did you do to lose those? Not even reinstalls require new activations, so it would be interesting to know what happened there.

I think it was when I went to the regedit and removed all NVIDIA drivers and DCS Black Shark.

2 - Remove nVidia card

3 - Install ATi card

4 - Install ATi drivers

5 - encounter problem

6 - manually remove nVidia registry entries

7 - uninstall DCS:BS

8 - manually remove DCS:BS registry entries

9 - reinstall DCS:BS

Yes pretty much, I reinstalled the ATI drivers after cleaning out the regedit NVIDA drivers, that didn't want to leave.

Your problem was the single-player launcher though, right? That one does not require activation - only the simulator itself (accessed through the multiplayer link or through the singleplayer launcher) does, as far as I know. Have you verified through the StarForce website that new activations were actually taking place?

Just for clarification, did these get deducted through trying (and failing) to launch the single-player, or through opening multiplayer?

 

Don't worry though, if and when you run out completely you can contact support at activation@digitalcombatsimulator.com and get a "refill". Please ensure that you include a proof of purchase - either account name/serial number/transaction number from digitalcombatsimulator.com, D2D or other proof of purchase for a boxed version.

 

EDIT: One more question; did you launch into flight on 1.0.0 when reinstalling at get the activation prompts at that time, or did they get spent when making a failed launch attempt of the patched version? Makes a difference in verifying whether there's an unknown behaviour in the protection software.
