Walmis or Gys F15 ?

When I last flew FC 1.12 .. Walmis was the model to have. Has the Gys/Valery superceded it ???

 

I currently have the SIM-MOD A-10A, Gys/Valery F-15C, 3GO Su-27 Joint Pack does this also install the Walmis weapon pack ??

NO, and few weapons have now new 3d models in FC2. The R77 was adapted there is a Modman Pack avalaible.

I thing yes, it is easier to skin for artists.

I'll say stick to Walmis because it damage model is far better than Gys which is seems like a plastic toy has broken.

Walmis model is good and even its damage model, so I'll say its better than the Gys model.

Broken nose doesn't look like broken metal but looks more similar to broken plastic. Same is with wings and tail fins.

If you are looking at the model of your own plane, yes. :P

But you'll see pretty things when flying fingertip. :)

Walmis was among the first Hi-poly models of flyable planes for LOFC but lots of folks upgraded their rigs in between so can run more detailed 3D models today than 2 or 3 years ago. Therefore the Valmis/Gys Eagle. Just look at the nozzles man...

Now, I also recomend 3GO Su-27 v1.5 and Sim-Mod A-10A...keep wishing for a Su-33 "upgrade" and keep your eye on Buncsi's MiG-29 WIP.

Guy's model is much nicer than the Walmis model. If you got to look at that much damage, you did something wrong and at that point who cares what it looks like going downnnnnn.LOL.:D

Thanks stang, do you advise/promote getting the Merlin high resolution fuel tank textures by merlin ??? It says they are for tattis mod but they installed fine with Modman.

Hmm not sure, i think if they're made for Tatti's droptank there might be some texture alignment issues with Gys' model :)

 

i'd say stick with the skin that comes with the Gys model, it doesn't look bad at all

I seem to have better FPS now with Gys/Valery's F-15 than the previous Walmis Eagle.. ^ ^ but not as smooth as with the 3GO Flanker.

 

That's why it's a must have for me even though i never fly the Su-27 So Gys/Valery's for me.. ^^

 

but hey, the Walmis F-15 will be a memorable one as i have spent many hours of fun using that very first, 3rd party model for the Eagle :)

3GO's Su-27 is dead sexy, i would never fly without it :D
