shackman
I've been reading Venn's AARs and they're helpful, but what i can't get is on the 4th mission I always assign targets to my wingmen but once i get close I'm engaged by 4 Flankers and have missiles everywhere so everytime I get shot down, and i dont know there range at ALL! :helpsmilie: Is there any way to get those guys out of the sky? And can you save the game at a certain point like in previous ver. so i wont have to always go back to an engine start up sequence?Tacview-20100715-211854.txt.rarF-15 4vs. Su27s and backfires.rarTacview-20100716-134134.txt.raranother failed attempt .rar Edited July 16, 2010 by shackman [sIGPIC]http://www.vrsimulations.com/images/sigbanners/vrs_supporter.png[/sIGPIC]
EvilBivol-1
Hi shackman, Glad to see you made it to 4! There are a number of things you could try, however judging by your post, the first thing I would recommend it to set up some practice BVR missions. First a 1v1, then 2v2 and then 4v4. I think there are many things you can learn like this and then apply to the campaign missions. If you are not comfortable in the mission editor, I or somebody else can make the missions for you. - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. Thanks for the offer I haven't had time to practice with the mission editor so if you could make them I'd appreciate it. Sorry but I've just been really busy these past days. EvilBivol-1
Here's the pack. Some things to keep in mind: in the practice missions, you are loaded with AIM-120C, where as in the campaign, you are loaded with AIM-120B by default. This can make a significant difference and I would suggest you use the Mission Planner to change your payload to AIM-120C when flying the campaign missions, unless you want the extra challenge. Also, when flying against a formation of multiple Flankers, most of the time only one or maybe two of them will carry ECM and the rest will not. This is both in the practice missions and in the campaign. Work on distributing bandits to your wingmen and your own options while they engage. Work on different timings of the engagement (i.e. when to start) and also different altitudes. - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer.
