Nate--IRL-- Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Sorry I know it sounded like a silly question, but it had to be asked. That's a strange problem, I've not seen it before. Are you sure your electrical systems are up and running and the rotor RPM is high enough for the generators and inverters to supply power to the NVGs? I can't remember where the logbook is at the moment, but you could try a fresh install in another folder (or rename your current folder and then install BS where it was) to check it out. Speed Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Well, post a track where the NVGs wouldn't come on. If they come on and work properly when we view the track, then there must be something wrong with your install. Intelligent discourse can only begin with the honest admission of your own fallibility. WindWpn Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Regarding night vision, one thing that has always eluded me is how to get all cockpit lighting to be blue for Night Vision? When I start a night mission in a warm seat (aka heli is already running and ready to fly), all the cockpit instrumentation is blue. However, whenever I start cold, I have never been able to figure out how to get the blue instrumentation lighting. I tried flipping the NVG Lighting switch, adjusted the brightness controls, etc... but have never been able to get it to work. Anyone have the answer? Avilator Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Well, I haven't flown the Shark in a while, so I don't know exactly where the switch for the blue lighting is. However, I do know that it is on the right rear panel, near the other cockpit lighting switches. I only respond to that little mechanical voice that says "Terrain! Terrain! Pull Up! Pull Up!" Nate--IRL-- Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 (edited) Just looked at your track. With the Door closed you must set your Intercom to communicate with the Grounds crew. See Pg 6-105 of the extended manual (Pg 2-103 of the normal manual) Switch 2. The ground crew will not install the NVGs if they cant hear you request. They should give confirmation they a re installing the NVGs and then a few seconds later confirm they are installed Edit:- I took control of your track from the start, pressed H and had NVGs. Odd, this is not what you are getting? Edit2:- At no point during that track did the NVGs get switched on (Switch 6 pg 6-102 Extended manual or Pg 2-100 of the normal manual) Edit3:- I should point out that if a mission starts in the Dark, the NVGs are installed by default. WindWpn Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 NVG lighting should be available to turn on, straight after turning on your batteries. Yep, finally got it using Dragons Training Pack and night free flying mission (he has the procedure outlined in the brief). As soon as entering the cold black pit. 1) Hit R-Ctrl R-Shft E twice (turn on battery) 2) Hit L-Ctrl K (turn on blue (NVG) lighting) Wala, blue lighting to continue startup procedures! Been flying the BS for a long time, and finally now I know how to enable the blue light...! :) The Rig: i5 7700k OC 4.6ghz, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1080ti, Windows 10 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
