Unable to contact tower for taxi

Hi, I´m new to the game and learning to take off now. I am unable to display the Radio commands menu for taxi and takeoff. It says that i must press the \ key and f6 or f2. The \key is the one located below esc key? Please help me to understand. thanks in advance.:joystick::book::mad::helpsmilie:

It depends on keyboard. In mine (spanish) it's the key "ç / }", just left of backspace. Manual is made for english keyboards.

it's not the ` "tilde" key under escape

 

you will find it's the \ "slash" key

situated below the backspace key or above the enter key for that matter,

 

try that and then follow the menu options

I have an issue in a custom mission where there is no response from Tower or Maintenance crews. I'm flying Russian AC out of Krasnodar-Pashkovsky. My first guess is that it may be an enemy base because other missions I get responses. I couldn't find a way to change the base nationallity in the editor. Any help would be appreciated.

 

 

Found the issue .. had enemy practice targets on base. Once I changed them to my side I got Comms.

Don't listen to the guys above. They're wrong. The croatian keyboards are the only ones authorised to contact tower, using the special letter "ž" which is pronounced as "zh" (in "Zhukovski").

 

It says so on my keyboard so it must be true!
