power5 Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Someone taugh that bird a lesson. I have a simple a2a mission against a mi24 and su25 and the damn hind gets me before I can even see him. I even cheat with f10 and can still not see him yet he is already firing 4 missiles at me. I have been able to avoid a couple but they always get me in the end. Similar story with su25. Not sure what missiles I equiped it with but he always gets his off the rail before my sidewinder. A X-65F Hotas with trackir4 and pro combat peddles. A kick butt home built machine unfortunately running a windows 7 OS.

ZoomBoy27 Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Also heard the debate on the PC Gamer podcast - Podcast Page Some guys will be going head-to-head to duke it out My 2 cents: While flying on-line - with labels on - it is like a being a squirrel while a hawk circles over-head - you're always watching them The A-10, if it has any height, is difficult to lock onto It also has radar-guided missiles, which do not show up on the Black Shark (NO RWR !!!) The fact of the matter is very simple here: If you're ina heli, hide, because unless your fixed wing opposition is unaware, unskilled, un-thinking or some or all of the above, you will probably not know what hit you, and when you do know you won't be able to do much about it anyway.
