rjsagel Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Hello, With all of your help I am now at the stage where I need weapons. I can Start-up from scratch, taxi, takeoff, fly and land the A10. I can also use guns. Where I am stuck now and need help is how do I select one of the weapons on the wing mounts. Since there is only one weapon release, I should be able to select the one I want. There is so much to read and learn here that I am now confused as to how to do this - say select rockets, fire them and then select and release bombs. Any help here would be appreciated, Thanks in advance and cheers, Ron Sagel
RogueRunner Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Press the OBS button next to the station on the DSMS page or with HUD as SOI use DMS LEFT/RIGHT SHORT to cycle through the profiles. With the price of ammunition these days do not expect a warning shot.
Sticky Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Why not just take a look in the manual? Its all there... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My Sim/Game CV: Falcon 1,3,4. Gunship. A10 TankKiller. Yes, there is much to read, whether be it on the forum or in the manual, where does the difference lie? ;) As to your question, the DSMS sub-chapter of the MFCD chapter is where you find all the info. The weapons employment chapter to the end of the manual is a more practical approach that leaves some of the more advanced functionality aside. Edited October 19, 2010 by sobek 1 Good, fast, cheap. swift Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Press the OBS button next to the station on the DSMS page or with HUD as SOI use DMS LEFT/RIGHT SHORT to cycle through the profiles. or press the Select (SEL) rocker located on the right side of the UFC wich changes weapon profiles in CCIP/CCRP Mode.
rjsagel Posted October 19, 2010 Author Posted October 19, 2010 THANKS - I got it! HELLO, I got it! Took a while but I finally figured out how to use the Management System to activate a weapon. Thanks, Ron Sagel
Scabbers Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 RTFM Now where is that speed brakes control again? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Lio Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 RTFM Really helpfull. Sad thing about the flight sim community is its mostly made up of gamers who think they are better then everyone else playing different games, or new people playing "their" games.
Scabbers Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Lio I dont think i am better than anyone else. I just think that if you look in the manual he will find his answer and maybe a few more tidbits that may help alot. This sim is very intense and requires a bit of dedication from the user. Now where is that speed brakes control again? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

aaron886 Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 It's never "nice" to throw out an RTFM, but it's true. Everyone is learning via the manual, and it takes time. It's not very polite to cram the forum full of threads with simple questions that the manual can easily answer. Have patience and read up!

I find the lazy retort "RTMF" a bit rude and unhelpful. Something like "read x in the manual, try it out in the sim, the read x again in the manual as it will now be in context" far more useful and constructive than "RTFM". I agree that he should RTMF several times though!
