The problem I have with pot is the stupid shit someone might do while high on pot. Imagine pot-smoking drivers in rush hour traffic.

The number of users of pot and people that have tried it is very high, legal or not. Also apples an oranges. Pot is not really chemically advictive. You go through no physical withrawl symptoms, only mental want. Whereas alcohol and tabacco will actually make your body physically crave more when stopped. Take it from someone that unfortuately knows all 3 too well :)

Alcohol cravings only occur for alcoholics. Pot cravings are psychological. People medicate their lives with Pot. 'I feel bad... my GF said I was crap... the boss said I was bad... lets roll some and not think about it'. People use it as a crutch. Just like Tobacco and alcohol. But because of Pots faster reaction its the one that is chosen. There is no difference between a raving booze hound on a bottle of whiskey a day than some guy that needs to snort himself some snow, or smoke some weed.

 

Its very interesting that users of a vice always try to form a relative standpoint with another vice. :D Which evil is the lesser evil.

I think the question is why people HAVE to do it. WHy do people spend money on it? Can they not live there lives without altering their brain chemistry in such an absurd way?

 

On a lighter note I have great fun laughing at guys on TS that regularly smoke their herbs while flying. Anytime they fck up or miss a bulls call I'll be there with the refrain. ' Ya.. the weed did that' :lol:

Fixed. My city has shit public transit. If you don't have a car and a license, you're screwed. From my travels around the US, I haven't seen a single city that does have decent public transit. Nothing like when I was in Japan--a car was just plain unnecessary over there. Here I'm lucky to see a bus once a day.

I take public transit everyday, no issue with me. I've never, in 30 years had to pay for gas, and that feels good :-)

 

So, smoking pot doesn't hurt anyone, but yourself, OR possibly other people IF you drive a car. It's less of a risk than alcohol, but still a risk.
