Hello all

Have recently installed the Black shark Ka-50 simulator on my computer and everything seems to be ok graphically when viewed from the cockpit and external views.

I've noticed that when i'm viewing through the Shkval the buildings seem to be "transparent" and have a ghostly appearance, until you reach about 4km range.

The trees and other ground objects seem to be ok, is this normal when viewing through the shkval ?.

I have an ATI HD5870 running on CAT 10.8 drivers and the Ka -50 is a fresh install with no mods applied....

The sim is playable, but the building transparency spoils it..

Have tried playing with the settings in the Catalyst control center but have had no joy...

Any suggestions appreciated...

Thanks in advance.....

Is there a solution for this problem by now? All my buildings from a certain range on (I think 4km or so) are transparent. I made a training mission, where I put some tanks into a larger town, but that transparent building thing makes it extremely hard to find them.

I'm at work now, but I can post screenshots/tracks when I'm at home.

I have a ATI Radeon HD 4870 with latest drivers, Win 7 64 Bit, 4GB RAM. Everything set to High except Water and shadows, which are set to the lowest setting

Welcome and meet the number one DCS party pooper. If you can deal with this one you probably won't stumble on anything that annoying on your way.

Just to sum it up.

For singleplayer you can alternate the following parameters in the \Config\graphics_bs.cfg :

far_clip

FogParam1

FogParam2

For multiplayer you can alternate only the:

far_clip

NOTE:

I haven't tested the Carney's hint yet.
