y = 0;

width = screen.width;

height = screen.height;

viewDx = 0;

viewDy = 0;

aspect = screen.aspect;

Should read

Center =

{

x = 0;

y = 0;

width = 1680;

height = 1050;

viewDx = 0;

viewDy = 0;

aspect = 1.6;

The rest looks ok.

A screenshot of your windows monitor setup page would help to...or wherever you setup your multimonitors for windows...Nvidia Control panel or CCC if you run ATI.

I have 2 monitors main 22" 1680x1050 2nd to the left 19" 1440x900

changed the monitor in game options to "mine" and res to 3120x1050

Just a thought but can you change the resolution of you 22" monitor to 1440x900 also. I have found the the sim seems to like vertical resolutions to be the same. Worth a try!

In case anyone else is getting frustrated like I was trying to setup multi monitor with DCS crashing on every flight attempt, DON'T FORGET TO TURN OFF FULL SCREEN :)

  • 3 weeks later...

Hi all,

I wanted to know if the following multi-monitor configuration is possible to setup. I want to use eyefinity to create a 5760x1200 resolution spanning three monitors and then use 1 or 2 other monitors to display my MFCDs. Will windows / the ATI CCC allow me to extend my desktop onto one or two extra monitors in addition to my eyefinity monitors?

Also, since I only have 5 video connectors on the back of my primary XFX 6950 and I want to connect up to 6 monitors, can I connect the sixth monitor to my second crossfired 6950? If I cannot, do you have a suggestion of how I should connect the sixth monitor?

Thanks for the help.

But NOT if you are trying to use Crossfire, as that doesn't work in a window!!

Your crashing problems are coming from elsewhere IMHO.

Hi all,

Yes you can run additional monitors to an eyefinity setup (I have an additional 23 inch touchscreen running of a seperate video card) and windows will recognise them, DCS will only output to them when run in windows mode (ie: NOT fullscreen)

I don't have the 6950 but I've been looking at them and the 6970 and although you have 5 connectors the native support from one of those cards only supports output to 4 Monitors. The HDMI connection is shared internally with one of the DVI connections. (incidentally when running Crossfire you do not get any output out of the second card, as far as I'm aware.)

And whilst, you will eventually be able to run 6 Screen eyefinity, you need a DisplayPort 1.2 Multi-Stream Transport converter, which are not yet available or a display port 1.2 enabled monitor to daisy chain the output.

Good explanation here and a bit more technical here

Hope this helps but sorry if I've shattered a 6 screen hope (for now anyway)

Exit from 3d world

As I have my monitors configured to export the MFDs from my main 24" to my sec. 19" monitor, I wondered, if there is a way to change thew position of the "exit" buttons / dialog towards my 24", maybe some changes in a *.cfg.

At the moment the dialog is right in the middle of both screens...

Thank you,

From that I gather that you are running both monitors in a vertical setup?!

As you must be running in window mode just alter your total y res to something less and then you can use your mouse to move the screens either up or down to avoid the clash.

(If I'm reading you correctly :))

I've just tried it and it does work.

Thank's for all your answers.

Does anyone know which file (I suppose in the FUI\Resources folder) contains the dialog window that let's me exit from a, let's say, "instant action" flight?

in the A10C DCS version its in the mmm well i cant find it right now my hard drive went DOA.

So I'm building a new rig Asus R3E, with MSI GTX465 FrozrII, 8gb GSkill 9-9-9-24 PC12800 1600mhz.

but ah yes I digress it should be under the multi-player editor or editor folder look in there.

Are most of you running the additional monitors to be used at MFD's .. or are you using the additional monitors to give you a LARGER Viewing area ( resolution) ?

Thats basically what I would rather use it for...just to increase my resolution to 3840x 1024..

anyone have success with this ?

Trying to set MFCDs on additional 800x600 monitor i performed everything as written in post #1. But reached no success.

After creating new .lua-file, no new item in MONITOR droplist appeared.

Then i changed "3 monitors" preset file, but no changes i planned happened again.

It seems that multimonitor settings corresponds not with \Config\MonitorSetup folder. Or maybe i missed anything?

Please advise! Beta4.

Thanks.

yes you also need to change the values in the option.lua

or the width or height.

i did it. With "1 monitor" setting the cocpit is stretched by width on both monitors.

"3 monitors" and "MFCD" settings divides main monitor (1280x1024) into 3 vertical parts. That is not what i need. :(

Weird.. i tried tried and tried. I had this same problem with black shark...

2 displays. left secondary for mfcds and right Main screen.

Tried negative coordinates, tried the left monitor starting with xy 0,0 but nothing on left screen shows up. A few others in this thread have the same problem.

So now each time I play I go to control panel resolution and drag my left screen over to the right whereas my main screen starts with xy 0,0

Works sort of. Only from time to time i can't find my mouse :p
