Beta 5?

Hi guys,

I often hear people talk about what's planned in the next Beta, but I can't find things specifically being worked on? Please bear in mind I'm on a mobile device 99% of the time on these forums and navigating anything bar a few topics is quite difficult (for me!)..

I was just curious about what was due!

Thanks :)

Beta 5 will be out sometime within the next few weeks, maybe sooner. Ed team was on vacation until today.

There generally isn't a list of things that are specifically being worked on. Some topics of discussion do include a confirmation from ED or a tester that some particular issue is known and will (probably) be fixed in the next beta, but there's no official list.

CBU modeling is the only thing I can think of off-hand.

Ahh that is great thanks! just realised I have access to a Beta forum too! For me I just hope the cannon issue is fixed, even on my new pc which runs consistently at 50fps on high (not water) it slows to 4fps on cannon fire! If this gets fixed I'm happy :)

What's CBU?

Hello,

I can't get the engines start in ramp mode start..I try to put each engine in idle mode, but then nothing happens..The plane just sits there and I followed the procedures strictly..

Some time even I do not accept the combination AltR/ Home or CtrlR / Home, I do not know what to depend on, reboot the PC and all back to work.

If rebooting fixes it then it sounds like a calibration problem; the throttle needs to be right back at zero to be able to take the engines from 'off' to 'idle'. Try using rightCtrl+Enter to see the controls input window to make sure it's registering at zero properly.

If any of you posting about engine start difficulties use a CH HOTAS, I might be able to assist, having experienced (and solved) a similar issue some time ago.

Well, I hope b5 is soon and it works for me. B4 is unflyable/usable for me :(
