StrongHarm
It's been mentioned in a few posts, though buried, so I wanted to reiterate: Turning off auto-lasing and using latch, from above 10,000 ft., really makes a difference in the accuracy of LGBs for me. * Go into the settings of the LGB * Turn autolase off * Go into the settings of the TGP (OSB1 cntrl) * Turn Latch ON * Get alt above 10k ft * Drop the bomb (I pref CCRP) and watch the impact countdown on your HUD or TGP * At 11 sec activate the lase (same key as nose wheel steering) with a single press instead of holding it down. It will lase until you hit it again (after target is hit). Much more accurate and enjoyable in my experience. It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm

genbrien
Revamped for Beta 5 - All Good now. so what are gonna be the procedure ? Are we gonna hit the target if we release the bomb under 10 000' or we still should stay higher ? Can we now lase from the start of the drop or only like 8s-10s before impact? :music_whistling::joystick: Do you think that getting 9 women pregnant will get you a baby in 1 month?[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Mobo: Asus P8P67 deluxe Monitor: Lg 22'' 1920*1080 CPU: i7 2600k@ 4.8Ghz +Zalman CNPS9900 max Keyboard: Logitech G15 GPU:GTX 980 Strix Mouse: Sidewinder X8 PSU: Corsair TX750w Gaming Devices: Saytek X52, TrackIr5 RAM: Mushkin 2x4gb ddr3 9-9-9-24 @1600mhz Case: 690 SSD: Intel X25m 80gb
159th_Viper
so what are gonna be the procedure ? As per the Combat Employment section in the manual. Are we gonna hit the target if we release the bomb under 10 000' or we still should stay higher? Yes you will but 3 reasons why you should not: 1 - MANPAD bait 2 - Recommended release parameters inter alia 15 000' and above. 3 - See reason 1 above. In any event, herewith result from worst possible release parameters, ie Auto-Lase Off, Lase from deployment, Altitude sub-9000': Can we now lase from the start of the drop or only like 8s-10s before impact? Either Or. Set Auto-Lase to off and toggle Laser on at release. Alternatively Auto-Lase at 12 seconds (recommended parameter) to impact. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? I just read the Combat Employment section in the manual. and there is nothing that explain what should be the altitude, nor the heading compared to the wind, nor the lase time(only says that you should press the nosewheel steering button to fire the laser if AUTO LASE is not set to ON. Maybe you can tell us were you got your information ? Or maybe update the flight manual for further release? 159th_Viper
I just read the....and there is nothing that explain what should be the altitude, nor the heading compared to the wind, nor the lase time.... As stated in post #2, I am referring to the Beta 5 build that you will receive. Altitude is common sense (MANPAD Threat, Limited 'Weapon Basket' etc etc). Wind off-set is negligible and provided you are well within release parameters (Solution cue, CCRP reticle etc etc) should not be a major issue for the smart-bomb. Lase time is stipulated at 8 secs - I however mentioned 12. I prefer to err on the side of caution. Feel free to ignore and accept 8 as recommended. Maybe you can tell us were you got your information? Flight Manual sprinkled with a wee bit of Common Sense and Research. Or maybe update the flight manual for further release? As referred to from post #2, done for Beta 5 release. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Click me to commence your Journey of Pillage and Plunder! genbrien
Altitude is common sense (MANPAD Threat, Limited 'Weapon Basket' etc etc). I wont be flying at 3000' if there is some SAM sites near:lol:, it was more like; is there a min altitude, let says, for the bomb seaker to catch the laser Wind off-set is negligible and provided you are well within release parameters (Solution cue, CCRP reticle etc etc) should not be a major issue for the smart-bomb. ok thx  Lase time is stipulated at 8 secs - I however mentioned 12. I tough you were only making reference to the ''game'', not the manual. Glad it'll be up-to-date :smartass: Do you think that getting 9 women pregnant will get you a baby in 1 month?[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Mobo: Asus P8P67 deluxe Monitor: Lg 22'' 1920*1080 CPU: i7 2600k@ 4.8Ghz +Zalman CNPS9900 max Keyboard: Logitech G15 GPU:GTX 980 Strix Mouse: Sidewinder X8 PSU: Corsair TX750w Gaming Devices: Saytek X52, TrackIr5 RAM: Mushkin 2x4gb ddr3 9-9-9-24 @1600mhz Case: 690 SSD: Intel X25m 80gb
Steel Jaw
I have yet to see any major advantage to manually lasing, in fact, I usually have other things to watch then when to activate the laser, prefer auto lase. Only tactical point I could see is of the target has a laser detector, like say a tank, but I dont think that aspect is modelled in the sim.
