StrongHarm
I think ED should listen to these obviously informed people who can tell them how to become better at what they do. ED may already be far superior in their field, but their HR department must have been sleeping when they missed this talent! I know that there are literally millions of people out there who also understand exactly what's going on with the war and how best to execute it.. even without access to intelligence reports.. simple genius! You may call them arm chair warriors.. or arm chair developers... I call them "the answer"!! Bravo arm chair people.. BRAVO! Keep the solutions coming! Viva la dildo! 2 It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm

EtherealN
Of course. :P No, just to be serious for a moment - I don't really consider this a "serious" thread. This is more commentary on... not so good commentary... in the ideas threads, not really a place to collect the good ideas (since there already are such repositories). But yeah, it was mainly about being a prick. :) EDIT: Btw Grimes, how did you know that? If I had a camera handy I'd show some photographic evidence, since I actually am an armchair moderator! Bucic
I can only guess that Strong means people for whom those who criticize certain aspects of a game are as bad as baby killers. Or people for whom backing up game devs excuses concerto is not enough. They must conduct it. "Why don't you show us how to do it better then." is a one of the indicators of such. Correct me if I'm wrong. Edited February 10, 2011 by Bucic F-5E simpit cockpit dimensions and flight controls

EtherealN
People, please chill a bit. Moonshot, if you feel a post merits administrative review, don't make a post about that. Just click the "report post" button and leave it there. Posting about it only prolongs the very thing you (apparently) is objecting to and is in every way counterproductive. Deal? StrongHarm
Moonshot.. +1 inc for your making me laugh so hard. Sorry 'bout that.. was searching for a way to rep without reading posts :). Sorry EtherealN, I'll try to make this right. I was probably a little hard on you moonshot. What you didn't understand (and I took advantage of you for) was the fact that I wasn't calling the other neg rep poster ignorant because he disagreed with me.. it was because he agreed with me, but didn't realize it. My sarcasm alluded him, and apparently you, and I took advantage. My frustration and ire aren't for you or the other fella.. it's for people that spend hours and hours flying on DCS:A-10C, then post messages on the boards that show a lack of respect where respect is due. The OP is about people who can play 'Smoke on the Water' on their guitar, telling Joe Satriani that he needs to play more minor blues scales. That metaphor means that people may have good ideas, and maybe a spot of talent, but they should never presume to TELL these devs what sucks and what they should be doing. On the other hand, a respectful note on a new idea or constructively outlining an inconsistency in the sim seem to be very welcome by ED. Another reason they deserve our respect. Understand that this isn't a "fanboy" reaction, but gratitude for a product that is clearly superior and has provided me with hours of what I could only previously dream about... having that Hawg at my command. I hope you understand that I was projecting. I shouldn't have taken liberties with your.. ability to understand my sarcasm. For that I apologize. It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm
