- Added "Pilots Radio" to all missions! (set you VHF to 120.000 AM and listen to musik)

- Gudauta Airshow: Removed 10sec countdown gates, added F10 Radio item to start 30sec coutdown

Version 3.4 released!

 

Change log:

 

- I added a new training scope for the UH-1 Huey in all Freeflight missions:

I added some ground units in the area arround each airport.

By using the radio menu F10 you are able to trigger a radio navigation sound on one random unit.

The unit will get marked by smoke and you are able to navigate to it by using the FM radio in HOME mode and the ILS needle.

After you landed beside the unit you can trigger the next random unit by using the radio menu F10 again.

 

This training scope is fun in the normal Freeflight mission.

In the Freeflight@Night mission it is fun to search the unit with the search light.

In the Freeflight@Storm it is very difficult to slow down, hover and land beside the unit.

In the Freeflight@LowVisual you have to find the unit by using the Radio Navigation because the fog is too thick.

Hi Dragon

 

First let me thank you for your great missions and the effort you put into creating them. I currently have massive performance issues running your Weapons Training mission. Could it be that you increased the amount of units on the map? My GPU memory (1GB) is maxed out and as long as I don't remove a couple of units, I am unable to get more than 10fps at the airfield. It could also be possible that the currently present FFB issue is taking its toll.

yes I added more units because of the Huey. I added some FARPs to the airport because there were no slots left anymore.

And I added more Trucks to the EASY target zone because the Miniguns of the Hueys where ripping them apart very quickley.

Hm... the FPS is ok on my side. I don't want to delete the units because it would look ugly on the airport and the EASY target zone would be empty very fast.

 

 

I noticed a very long connection time to the server because of the new "PilotsRadio" soundfile. I think I will remove it in the next version again.

Yes the airfield FPS is extremely poor on the new version. I love your missions though, could you perhaps ditch all the SAM sites at the airfield and perhaps maybe move the FARPS away from the airfield in general? When it's busy FPS drops to almost unplayable levels.

I appreciate your work Dragon, but I would rather have smooth FPS than ambiance.

 

I will try something but don't blame me. DCS is not a high performance game as you know.

Sometimes it's not the mission builder, sometimes it's the software.

Version 3.7 released

 

Change log:

 

Weapons Training:

- Removed Su-25T slots and all units at Kutaisi Airport.

- Removed some of the A-10c slots.

- Removed Pilots Radio because of long loading times while connecting to servers.

- Moved UH-1H from Kobuleti to FARPs some Km's south and north of Kobuleti.

- Deactivated 2/3 of the enemies in EASY Target zone. They will get active once 90% of the first group is destroyed

- Set all units at FARPs and Airfields to invincible (saves FPS when they can't burn)

- New Briefing picture

 

All other Missions:

- Removed Pilots Radio because of long loading times while connecting to servers.

@ Nobody, Rossi and Hellfire:

 

I hope the FPS are better now. Please compare the old with the new version and always notice that DCS is not the most performant game out there. :)

Great work on the missions btw, using it for JTAC practice :)

 

I've noticed there seems to be a bug with Axeman 1-1 in the daytime JTAC training. When he calls targets, his laser seems to be obstructed by a nearby building, because my TGP's LSS function keeps acquiring a big white building instead of the actual targets. If I talk to the other JTACs this doesn't seem to happen.

 

Anyone else seen this?

seems like the building is in the LOS of the JTAC.

I will reposition the JTACs in the next version.

- Reworked JTAC Training and JTAC Trainng @ Night

--> JTACs @ HARD are Predators now.

--> JTACs @ EASY and MEDIUM are repositioned and have all LOS to the enemy.

--> Added 3x CA Client "JTAC".
