ALDEGA
Looks great. Do you have any reference photo's so we can compare? (for Aim54) The stinger doesn't look correct (when compared with photo), sorry.
walmis
i will post aim-54's reference photos later or maybe tomorrow. and will fix the stinger
D-Scythe
Great work on the Phoenix, just I think live AIM-54C's are painted grey.
ALDEGA
The schematic picture in my previous post appears to be too short, so you can't use it for measuring proportions. You'll have to use your picture ;)
KuostA
Nice work, both models look nice, but lack the detail/realism that was pointed out. BTW, Mig-Mag has already completed an amazing Aim-54 model, I think he's already sent it to the dev's ahead of ya. http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=9210
ALDEGA
Problem is that it isn't easy to find accurate FIM-92 schematic pictures / Profile photo's on the web :| I looked for some myself, didn't find much. The lack of such information makes it difficult to get the proportions right.
walmis
Aldega here are the reference photos you asked 1 2 3 I also added some detail to the phoenix and adjusted proportions for the stinger
D-Scythe
Your reference photo for the Phoenix is of a dummy missile. Notice the blue bands. In combat, the blue bands are replaced by red and orange ones that indicates a live missile. You may want to find a photo of such for reference. And it seems you could've modelled the back of the Stinger a bit better. The placement of the fins is off - notice in your reference photo that it attaches to a grey area that is straight (i.e. no longer curving inward), rather than in your model, which is attached to the area curving inward. ALDEGA
In the meanwhile it seems the Hellfire schematic picture in the hellfire thread is not accurate lol. It's not easy to model it right when the references aren't good :| Walmis, the stinger looks better now. :) I agree with D-scythe about the rear fins though. Some interesting close-ups of AIM-54 (dummy) http://www.yellowjacketsystems.com/jimball/aim-54a/aim-54a.htm (could be interesting for texture details) http://airpower.callihan.cc/images/MRB/02-USNMAT-aim54c-3.jpg https://wrc.navair-rdte.navy.mil/warfighter_enc/weapons/airlanch/phoenix/images/aim54c5.gif

walmis
@aldega Hey, these are exactley my reference pics! :D yeah mine too ;) btw, does lockon support bump maps?
Trident
http://www.yellowjacketsystems.com/jimball/phoenix/ Apart from the photographs already found on the sites that others have posted here this link actually contains high-res drawings of the missile as a whole and even individual parts. Should be no problem to make the external shape bang-on now :)
